Its Bartman's fault the Cubs lost, yeah, riight.. It couldn't have possibly been the players on the fields' fault, even though they get paid millions of dollars to do what they do, you would figure that would buy a little self-accountability. People are so fucking typical!!
Bartman showed a lot of restrain, because if that Jim cuthbert clown said something to me, I would fucking blasted him in the head. The essence of a PUSSY, picking on a guy, who everyone else is picking on, just to fit in. Picking on a guy smaller than you so you can feel like you belong.
Picking on him to fit in.
9:25 made me lose my mind when I first watched this. FUCKING PUSSY! Throws a beer, and then walks away and hides. What a fucking bitch made punk! Pussy ass douchebag!
I never actually saw the full "Bartman" play but always heard about it but after seeing this smh how in the world do you blame him for losing???? I always thouoght he had caught a home run ball that gave the other team the lead but it was a foul ball that like 4 other people were trying to catch
heres what should have happened: they should have won game 5, but since they didnt, baker should have taken prior out of the game. when i saw how many pitches were thrown, it was just too many. 112 pitches before luis castillo batted? wtf?! too many pitches. baker lost that game for them, not bartman, not gonzalez (even tho he should have had that ball)
@jro222 112 pitches in 2003 was normal. They didn't put nearly as much emphasis on pitch counts back then like they do today. Prior could've thrown 130 pitches.
Simply put, Gonzalez makes the play, inning over. Farnsworth fucking CHOKED after he relieved Prior.
To blame a fan for this loss is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of.
I remember watching this game and wondering why they kept showing Bartman, as if they (FOX) fed right into it, also placing blame on Bartman. Fuck Fox!
I am watching this because my 49ers had the same kind of thing happen last night. Fucking kills me..... this isn't helping me by watching this but still... that empty fucked up feeling when your heart is ripped out of your chest sucks. You always want to place the blame, and I feel for these cubs fans. I know its just a game bla bla bla but it's your heart that loses not just the team.. uuuhhhhhggggggggg.
Bill Buckner, Steve Bartman, Scott Norwood...now Kyle Williams.
And I was pissed, and shouting at the screen in the bar when I saw it--both times, both fumbles--but that's one thing, that's normal, to shout frustration at a player...
Just like Bartman--some Niners fans are sending Kyle Williams DEATH THREATS...
THAT IS OUT OF LINE.
Come on, it's a game, not a matter of life and death! :(
@obiwanobiwan13 yeah sending him death threats is way out of line. It wasn't his fault completely as well.. Just the way it happened makes you want to blame it all on him. Just because we were still in it until that happened. Truth be told all we needed was one decent drive in regulation and we win by a field goal instead of losing. Also a lot of people overlook that Deshon Goldson blew an intercerception. Oh well our team looks good for next year so we still got a lot to feel good about.
Prior to this incident, I was basically neutral toward the Cubs. But I was kind of rooting for them in this series cause it had been so long and the Marlins had won a world series in 97. However, after this, I will never EVER root for the Cubs again whether it's a regular season game or the playoffs. Their behavior was shamefull.
Here's the part that nobody and I mean NOBODY talks about. Jeff Conine hits a sac fly to make it 4-3 Marlins. Runners are now at 2nd and 3rd with TWO OUTS. The next batter is Todd Hollandsworth.....and the Cubs Intentionally Walk him. Next hitter is Mike Mordecai and he drives in 3 runs with a double, then the next guy Juan Pierre drives in Mordecai with a single. If the Cubs had pitched to Hollandsworth.....it very well could have been just 4-3. 2 OUT INTENTIONAL WALKS ARE FOR IDIOTS
I hate all of you Cubs fan for this. How is it that you blame Bartman for the loss? Yeah....he was responsible for that wild pitch....he was responsible for Gonzalez's bobbled double play ball....he was responsible for those 8 runs in that inning.....I really hope the Cubs never win a World Series and you guys be cursed forever
5:55 At least John Kass was man enough to admit that what he did to Bartman was wrong...unlike all of those other crybaby Chicagoans...no wonder the Cubs never win anything...their fans doent deserve it.
Seems to me that the only individual who comes out of this with his dignity intact is Mr Bartman! He should be invited back to the stadium as a special guest of the club and given a 2 minute standing ovation by the same "fans" who were chanting "asshole". just take the damn headphones off, dude, you weren't alone at that game, watch the game and talk with your guests you bought the tickets for, quit being such a lone nut,
9:39 Man that fat guy is an asshole! I hope he's dead by now from his over weight leading to a heart attack. And if so, tell me where he's buried so I can piss on his grave, lol.

Stop blamimg Bartman you dumb cub fans!! If Alou hadn't thrown a temper tantrum, Prior's wild pitch and Golzals booted double play, they would have won the game!! Stop your damn whinning it was 8 years ago. GET OVER IT ALREADY!!
What a bunch of dis-respectful losers!! This is how people act in public?? Your team blew it.. as usual!! Blaming Bartman is just another excuse for a shitty team!
these fans are idiots, say alou gets castillo out...speedster pierre is still on 2nd base with 2 outs...after that pudge hits a single into left field and knowing pierre's speed he could've scored but lets just say he goes to third. then miggy is up and hits an easy grounder to gonzalez, and he muffs it up...pierre SCORES here (3-1) and miggys on first and pudge is on 2nd. then derek lee hits a double which should cash in both pudge and miggy thus giving us a tie game at 3! Cubs beat themselves
What I've never understood was why they made such a big deal of a foul ball. If it was a home run and Bartman pulled a Jeffery Maier and turned an out into a homer then ya you can be mad. This was a foul ball and all it was was a strike. He did exactly what any of us would have done.
I was a pissed off White Sox fan watching that inning because the game was in the bag. It wasn't Bartman's fault! So sweet that the Cubs go on and on and on losing and they fill that dump and now they want money from the state...Really? Go St. Louis, Go Milwaukee
@69UM24OSU12 Very true... however, if Bartman doesn't interfere with that ball the Cubs are probably in even better shape. Up 3-0, with two outs, and one man on in the eight. Not to mention, with everything still going their way.
Disgusting Cub fans. Everyone went for the ball, and your team is the reason the Cubs lost. And also the Marlins had a big part in it, not a guy sitting in the stands. Just a bunch of drunkin assholes turning a game into a lot more. Grow up! You called Bartman a asshole, well you were the real assholes. Poor guy didnt deserve it.
at 2:53 you can clearly see the fans reach out into the field to grap the ball and Alou's glove not go into the stands. It should have been called fan interference.
His friends are no friends at all, they should have pulled him out of that situation or stood up for him. They are cowards and are no friends at all. To the City of Chicago................keep it classy.
Hahaha you sad cub fans...I put more blame on Gonzalez than bartman you fools. Guy gets paid million to make routine double plays and botches it...you are so cursed! With shite players....
So, Alex Gonzalez' bobble is not as severe as Bartman's interference?! WTF. The Cubs chocked is all. Bartman's a defenseless fan, who loves his team no matter what. Leave him alone!
You can never win championships by blaming your team's failure on a supposed omen!
It was more than Bartman , They all went for it , and its the cubs fault , sure they could of got out of the inning , but they didnt and thats baseball, anything can happen
So I'm thinking Jim Cuthbert needs an ass whooping! I mean what a complete jackass. I mean this guy looks proud to be a complete loser! He sits there with a stupid grin on his face reciting "duh who was that guy?? Duh I'm a moron who wants to throw stuff at him " What a total loser. And he is so proud of being a loser and that makes it even better
Jim Cuthbert, you sir, are a loser. You're a grown man who is a wannabe tough guy. How old are you? 45? 50? You've been thrown out of baseball games? Probably had too much to drink those times and got your beer muscles on. Get a life and some yourself some vagina and maybe you won't be such a douchebag.
You know, I live in Atlanta, so I'm a Braves fan, but I've always rooted for the Cubs as well. After this, you Chicago Cubs people that crucified this guy should be ashamed of yourself, and I hope you never win another game. It's just a f-ing game people. And that guy on this segment who was smirking about getting thrown out of the game - grow up!!!! You are the a-hole, not Steve Bartman. I've rooted for the Cubs for nearly 40 years, but no more. You don't deserve a championship after this.
Aww not only did Bartman cause a major problem but he didn't even get the ball he was going for. That's kind of sad, he could've made a lot of money from it too.
There was a guy that threw a banana at Wayne Simmonds during a game and he didn't take a fraction of the heat Bartman did, sports culture is disguisting.
@jspurs22 Im alllll the way with you....I know unfortunately a few cubs "fans" and i love giving them shit. And the primary reason why bartmens their scapegoat is because when people give them shit about how fucking sorrry the cubs are they can hide behind steve."like ohh we would have won if it wasnt for bartmen"BULLSHIT...LOL
After watching this documentary this fans don't deserve a world championship the way they acted. Thumbs up if you think that Barman was the only person with class there that night.
@Pacebeats It was his fault. If he didn't get in the way the guy on 2nd woould have still been there. Then the double play would most likely end the inning. The reason it was bobbled was because of the time of all that waiting.
Look up asshole in the dictionary and you will see a picture of that "sales rep" Cuthbert. Also when the other guy says he pointed towards where he "thought" the ball went, bullshit he was clearly pointing to Bartman.
Yeah blame Bartman... Because he is definitely the one who made that error at short, walked multiple batters, and gave up 8 runs, blew the lead in game 7, oh and lost game 7 as well... you cub fans are pathetic, 95% of fans would have done the same thing he did if you were put in the same situation. Instead of being quick to blame someone just realize your team choked and move on. When its all said and done its just a game and no person should go through what that man went through.
@sdix1986 I concur. It's irrational to blame Bartman for the total collaspe of the Chicago Cubs for Game 6 of the 2003 NLCS. Do anyone remember the following?
1. Dusty Baker left Pryor in the game way too long which he became erratic, starting walking batters and threw a wild pitch?
2. Alex Gonzales made a error of a taylor made double play.
3. From the 8th inning of Game 6 to the 9th inning of Game 7, the Cubs' pitching staff gave up 17 runs.

@AppleCrisp233 no reasonable person could watch this doc & conclude that, considering the facts that a good portion of the people around bartman weren't looking at the OF, and were instead reaching for the ball, & bartman hasn't made a public appearance since the game, nor has he taken advantage of monetary opportunities related to it. this is a story of unruly drunkenness & people lacked the guts to deviate from the crowd. the smirks on people's faces as they chanted are disgusting.
People are fucking scum!! I would like to find that amateur camera guy and force feed him a bowl of human shit!

Jim Cuthbert is a scumbag. A man in his mid 40's wanting to beat up a 26 year old. Fucking fake tough guy. I'd love to see him get his ass kicked in.
muneetalks 5 months ago 3
They never interviewed Bartman or any of his family or friends, so how do they know he was listening to the game? Maybe he was listening to music..
turtlejerky09 5 months ago

Get a life and some yourself some vagina and maybe you won't be such a douchebag.
soSiccK 5 months ago 54
@soSiccK Exactly, that guy is one of the most worthless pricks I've ever seen.

@soSiccK I agree - he's a total ass. What makes it worse is he's proud of being a douchebag.

DisappearingBoy2010 5 months ago
Aww not only did Bartman cause a major problem but he didn't even get the ball he was going for. That's kind of sad, he could've made a lot of money from it too.

There was a guy that threw a banana at Wayne Simmonds during a game and he didn't take a fraction of the heat Bartman did, sports culture is disguisting.

This makes me sick you FUCKING LOST CUBS. CAUSE YOU SUCK NOT CAUSE OF SOME KID THAT IS WATCHING A GAME
Darbytime 5 months ago
Lets see:
Cubs up 3-2 on Marlins, last 2 games are at home, 5 outs till 1st World Series in 95 years, BUT THEN...
-Steve Bartmans play
-Gonzalez, who led league in fielding that year, then bobbling double play ball
-Prior falling apart, along with next 2 pitchers, giving up 8 runs in 8th inning
-Cubs go up 5-3 at one point in G7, & STILL loose
CUBS ARE CURSED!! Cubs fans, become White Sox fans now before its too late. At least they know how to wi......heck, how to make it TO a world series.

Im happy cubs will never get a championship :) those fans curst themselves....
jspurs22 5 months ago
@jspurs22 Im alllll the way with you....I know unfortunately a few cubs "fans" and i love giving them shit. And the primary reason why bartmens their scapegoat is because when people give them shit about how fucking sorrry the cubs are they can hide behind steve."like ohh we would have won if it wasnt for bartmen"BULLSHIT...LOL
commodore64n1984 5 months ago
After watching this documentary this fans don't deserve a world championship the way they acted. Thumbs up if you think that Barman was the only person with class there that night.

@Pacebeats But what if he was the one that put laxatives in their kool-aid? Just saying.

@Pacebeats "Shits the bed"...one of the funniest sports terms I've ever heard xD
TheTigersfan20 4 months ago
@TheTigersfan20 not just a sports term
Pacebeats 4 months ago
@Pacebeats It was his fault. If he didn't get in the way the guy on 2nd woould have still been there. Then the double play would most likely end the inning. The reason it was bobbled was because of the time of all that waiting.
TexasPuertoRock 4 months ago
Don't blame Bartman, blame the rest of those fans and that team. That a-hole chant makes me think that the team doesn't deserve a championship

Look up asshole in the dictionary and you will see a picture of that "sales rep" Cuthbert. Also when the other guy says he pointed towards where he "thought" the ball went, bullshit he was clearly pointing to Bartman.

Pathetic Cubs fan.....and as for Alou...what a douche for saying that he couldnt' have caught the ball 5 years later.....

winners overcome, losers blame... it's not a coincidence that the Red Sox didn't win in generations and Cubs still haven't won...
UtotheJ 5 months ago 2
Yeah blame Bartman... Because he is definitely the one who made that error at short, walked multiple batters, and gave up 8 runs, blew the lead in game 7, oh and lost game 7 as well... you cub fans are pathetic, 95% of fans would have done the same thing he did if you were put in the same situation. Instead of being quick to blame someone just realize your team choked and move on. When its all said and done its just a game and no person should go through what that man went through.
sdix1986 5 months ago 2
@sdix1986 I concur. It's irrational to blame Bartman for the total collaspe of the Chicago Cubs for Game 6 of the 2003 NLCS. Do anyone remember the following?
1. Dusty Baker left Pryor in the game way too long which he became erratic, starting walking batters and threw a wild pitch?
2. Alex Gonzales made a error of a taylor made double play.
3. From the 8th inning of Game 6 to the 9th inning of Game 7, the Cubs' pitching staff gave up 17 runs.
Something to think about.
