This video sounds horrible but I LOVVVVVVVVE the sound of Flowmasters on an x pipe. I know a few people don't like it but in 95% of the videos (and on my own car) its sounds SICK. As in badass....
Agreed. This setup did not last. Ended up with a Pro Chamber and SLP's. Then that didn't last. I must have gone through 3 setups before deciding I wanted something different, so I got rid of it and bought a truck. :-\
Damn I've never been a fan of brand swapping.. with bassanni x use bassani mufflers, with flows leave stock h, with borla sting use borla x, the setups were designed to suit the brand to achieve overall quality so why not use that?
its not all the X pipes fault flows have always had an unmistakable echo, if you start getting rid of the resonator or cats those flows will make that same sound, i say that its not the X pipes fault at all but i've never had one so i cant really say, but i have had flows b4 and do know about there echo
GReat Finnally I here one of the new ones soundinglike the oldsundithought we lost!! He means he bought two flowmastersforunder neath the car like theold ones 04 down had not the mufflers at the back the fack is that every differ place u put mufflers bends cats anything changes thesound of the exhaust If mine was a 4.6 id do it same as you did I missed that cackle good work btw listen to my 07 six i made some custom exhaust for it best six sound i found so far.
Just meant that the flows were welded in. They aren't a catback or now known as axlebacks. I didn't like the American Thunder Axleback designed for the 05+ so I bought some off the shelf ones.
try something like flowmaster 40 series with an h pipe thats what i have on my 05 4.0 mustang and i like the sound alot

It's sad I still have this video up. I kept this Xpipe no more than a week before switching to a cheap Pypes O/R H and it sounded a ton better.

it says right there in the title that it's a Bassani X-Pipe
ronniej1183 4 years ago
It sounds good...but is that the Bassani making that tinning sound?
lboogs11746 4 years ago
It's the Xpipe causing the trumpeting sound. Flow's have never really gone well with Xpipes in terms of sound quality. Just my opinion though. :)
