  • The number at the top is the ammount of bikers who drove past that post today.

The number at the bottom is the ammount of bikers who drove past it the last year.

  • @kristian1115 No the bottom one is the ammount of Bikers who have driven past this until now this year.

  • that counter is broken...

  • That was no storm. Just a normal winter morning with a bit og wind.

If it had been a storm, things like trees and the snow would have actually been moving.

And in that case most of us don't use the bike.

  • snowstorm my ass , this is just a normal winter morning , a lilttle foggy and a little windy (because of the water ) the danish people do not ride bikes when rarely. it really storms . i know this i live in denmark too.. people would take a bus ,taxi ,or car , we danes are as lazy as anybody . when it snows

  • @562988john Fjols.

  • What's up with the counter? From time 0.00 to 0.47, atleast 20 bikes went by the counter, and it only went up by 9. I wonder what the true count is then?

  • AHHH YEAH, we are pretty hardcore ; D

  • ...And the best thing is, if you screw it up, and end up hitting a car, the driver of the car HAS TO TAKE THE BLAME BY LAW! - Yep to many years with Green Peace and Social Democrats...

  • The danes are fu¤&&/king HARDCORE !

  • @magnus4g63 what's your problem? That's how we are going to work/school, it doesn't mean you have to do it!

  • @magnus4g63 Gætter på du ikke er særlig fit? :) din holdning til det her, tyder i hvert fald på, at du enten ikke kan cykle, eller så er du bare en af de mennesker der utrolige svage..

  • @magnus4g63 well that's ridiculous!! Noone is forced to bicycle because they can't effort anything else in Denmark! what u say is like: "oooh poor people! they have to eat bread... everyone would much rather like to eat cookies!"

  • Biking during snowstorm = no problem. Biking when it's rainy = arrrggghhhhh!!!!

  • @Ratamahatta12345 it always rains in Denmark -.-

  • So this counter is not super in snow storm - does it make a big difference?

  • We are the vikings XD I'm danish myself and i bike 7km to school every day

  • why can't we USA do this?

  • @rkd350z Because you typically drive distances that are 10 times what we drive in Denmark. Getting from one side of Copenhagen to the other takes around half an hour on a bike. How long would it take you to cross Los Angeles on a bike? Probably half a day. We do it in Copenhagen because it is practical.

  • nice

  • i really think its fascinating that bike travel is so popular in denmark...what a smart way to solve alot of problems...pollution....health....savings on gasoline ect...im from the states and people around here are so lazy lol it would never happen around my part of town unfortunatley. cool video!

  • So, lets say about 4k passes every workday, and roughly half that in the weekends.

That would mean an approximate of about 25k a week which would add up to about 100k a month, or about 1.2 million a year.

Offcourse, the counter says 221k in the january month alone, and most people skip cycling when the weather is bad, so we are probably looking at a more realistic number of a count of 2 million a year or so.

And it's not very good at counting, so the actual number might much higher.

  • @Jesus45U Well, remember, that is only on this road - not EVERY bike runs past this counter a day. The counter is only counting this road you can see. Hope it makes sence what I wrote :-)

  • @sinned1976

    I understand perfectly.

And indeed, it's not the only road, but it is one of the roads with heavy bicycle traffic. But I digress, the numbers are still fun to look at.

I added a few to this counter a few days ago btw. :)

  • but the counter does not count every cyclist.. :(

  • @doryzsu : Guess the counter doesn't count, but indicates programmed increments.
