I enjoy making fun of stupid people as much as the next guy, but it has to be said that you could interview people on the street in ANY country and get the same results. You could do it in Paris, Berlin, Rome, even here in London. Every country has its fair share of stupid people. America does seem to have more of them than some European countries, but that's not to say all Americans are unintelligent, illiterate, or whatever.
