I know it sounds maybe out of order but I think the police need to look a little further into that 'male friend'. He also left her with no shoes on. (or so unsolved mysteries said). Just seems too unbelievable for a friend to leave another (particulary a girl) in the middle of no where, with no shoes on and drive off. Doesn't sound plausible to me anyway.
