The UK finally reached the edge of the abyss today, 25 years after Thatcher's Tories yanked the steering wheel in the cockpit of UK Plc down the blind alley of laissez-faire, neo-liberal capitalism.
Thatcher's Tories aren't at the wheel today, but it is they who cut the brakes and stole the steering wheel as the juggernaut headed for economic oblivion.
The massive neon warning signs along the dirt track supplied by cowboy firm international Capital Markets Inc (they were supposed to lay a pristine metalled road) were ripped up by Thatcher's braying, myopic supporters who'd jumped onto the bandwagon trailer as it careered wildly along.
Thatch jumped out a few miles before the party music turned to bloodcurdling screams as the dusty track gave way to thin air and a yawning economic chasm beneath. The partygoers looked on angrily at the Labour driver who was frantically stomping on the non-existent brakes and wildly working the stub where the steering wheel once was.
But as the UK Plc juggernaut began to plummet towards oblivion they knew who really was to blame.
And she was a few miles behind knawing at her wrists...
Prices of bread are set by the market (supply and demand). Prices of train tickets are set by the government. When market prices are low governments raise money with expensive train tickets so they can ease the pain when market prices are high.
it's called the yield managment but on the other hand big corporations are taking advantage from the global fear that there is less and less oil under the bedrock, this is bullshit. Maybe it cost a little more to extract this oil, and I'm sure that this cost is exagerated too, everybody within the oil production and distribution chain is overpricing their stocks, and at the end the consumer must sacrifice more money for it's own mistake: being naive !
The problem is not that there's no more oil in the ground(/sea) but that the places we're extracting it are running dry all at around the same price as organisations like OPEC have uniformed the industry so that all investment in extraction occurred at the same time, hence we all get low on oil at the same time. The caspian sea and north eastern russia, aswell as Africa are relatively unexplored, so we're good in the medium term, but to avoid this problem in the future we need a breakup of opec
thanks for wasting my time

I didn't think England had a problem with their economy yet. They seem to be on the top of the heap.
