I met the woman of my life 7 months ago knowing she was pregnant with another "bums" baby. the bum wanted nothing to do with the baby so i stepped in to be a father. our son Elijah is 2 months old now and i love him and my beautiful fiance Aireanna. we are 17 year old white kids but i guess my question is, was I in the wrong to step in to be a father? i have gotten alot of criticism for what i am doing but I feel i have done right. i treat him as if he is my own and i do EVERYTHING for him, :)

You make excellent points in your video but very often it's a 'double-edged sword" for bw. When you meet a bum, many times initially they don't appear to be that way, many have convinced them that they met a wonderful man until life begins to happen. This is why it good to be friends before any serious involvment. Yes, very true. This is a BIG problem in our community, except that its also white girls that breed with deadbeats. Especially high school girls-and they have kids with multiple partners. I remember when black women were considered to be tough disciplinarians...fast forward to 2010. Never would have thought we'd be in this predicament now. Not all black mothers are like this, but too many are. I used to work with children with behavior problems, and nine times out of ten their single black mothers either had some kind of mental problem themselves or were simply frustrated and didn't know what to do with them. These and other problems arise when the father isn't in the picture.

I met the woman of my life 7 months ago knowing she was pregnant with another "bums" baby. the bum wanted nothing to do with the baby so i stepped in to be a father. our son Elijah is 2 months old now and i love him and my beautiful fiance Aireanna. we are 17 year old white kids but i guess my question is, was I in the wrong to step in to be a father? i have gotten alot of criticism for what i am doing but I feel i have done right. i treat him as if he is my own and i do EVERYTHING for him, :)

You make excellent points in your video but very often it's a 'double-edged sword" for bw. I remember when black women were considered to be tough disciplinarians...fast forward to 2010. Never would have thought we'd be in this predicament now. Not all black mothers are like this, but too many are. I used to work with children with behavior problems, and nine times out of ten their single black mothers either had some kind of mental problem themselves or were simply frustrated and didn't know what to do with them. These and other problems arise when the father isn't in the picture.

While I respect your thoughts and you are right, by and large the pandemic issues in black communities are not so prevalent in white communities.
Sure, you have your Dalmers and Columbine killers, but they pale when you look at the sheer volume of numbers of Black Kids who commit heinous crimes upon their own race each and every single day.

the point is single mothers should not think that they can raise kids by themselves and have that turn out great, a positive mother and father are required, people need to stop planning to fail. If you want to blame dead beat fathers you must remember that said woman always had a choice (unless she was raped) of who to lay down with and if the man never wanted to be a father or stick around and be responsible then it's a foregone conclusion that he ain't gonna be there like she want!

It' doesn't mean sistas have to to the same thing just to say "We aren't the only ones" just because 6 white guys sniff household products do that mean I have too. Amen!!!! I been saying this for I don't know how long, and the women refused to accept this information coming from a man. They get defensive and want to deflect, because they will not accept accountability for there role in creating these monsters. Truth really does hurt like hell. Ladies who aren't guilty of this please stop protecting this women under the umbrella of the sisterhood. Its not just blacks, in the Northwest of England theres ALOT of single mums because the government bends over backwards with child support for them, the fact is they are bad parents its not because they are single, my mum is a single parent, never met my dad, she had two baby girl when she was 22 and she did perfectly fine, then had me 16 years later, im 17 now and im not going around mugging and raping because shes a good parent (but annoying at that)

The people on here talking about poverty and making excuses as to why blacks behave the way they do are the problem. We let whites and other races make excuses for us, because they come in and do their studies on black families and black America and we run around here and eat up what they say and make the excuse well they're poor and this is how you react when you are poor. the truth is there are opportunities all around blacks and we don't take those opportunities because of our ignorance

In short the govt loves ignorant women that have babies out of wedlock. They make MONEY going after the fathers, locking them up, garnishing their wages, revoking their passports , licensees, taking their income tax return money. SINGLE MOTHERS are BIG PROFIT FOR THE GOVERNMENT. They get a FEE for each and EVERY DOLLAR they collect from FATHERS. They encourage women to be single mothers , not holding them responsible for having babies out-of-wedlock. They can even RAID YOUR BANK ACCOUNT.

the issue isnt neccessarily one of morality or standards as far as who these women are picking to father their children, its an issue of poverty, ignorance and low self-esteem
(environment related) on behalf of both parties, it's hard for a woman to
"not pick a bum" if that woman doesnt feel worthy of anything better, or is able to even define what "better" looks like

If anything it is the ultimate in SELFISHNESS. Again, I ask, why would any LOVING parent bring a child into a impoverished situation where as you just alluded, they can't even make ends meet for themselves?

umm poverty has ALOT to do with who u make a baby with... if your "choices" are a limited one, as far as the poor neighbourhood one grows up in, chances are youre only going to hook up with a PARTICULAR person of the same caliber: low education+illiteracy=
communication problems, abuse= which renders one to be either underemployed or unemployable = poverty = self-esteem issues= crimes or children out of wedlock.. (Sociology)

These ARE excuses. You bring up poverty as an excuse but I can show you examples of POOR people who make BETTER CHOICES and therefore they are not TRAPPED in the cycle of poverty. THEY overcome, and their children are better off, because THEY make better people out of themselves, and THEY CHOOSE better mates! Nobody put a gun up to these women head and made them have sex with thugs or deadbeats so they can get knocked up and drop out of school or have limited choices so stop the BS.

Secondly, I've said, no one is born a slave to anything in their own minds. We learn from First, from our caretakers (parents), then from our own experiences and lastly from the influences of those around us. Some good and some bad.
Which ever has prevalence and given a weak constitution to yield or not, that's what we become.

onyxxx101 the govt. supports single motherhood. It criminalizes fathers if they don't do exactly as the woman dictates. They get free legal help to go after the men, whether you are taking care of your child or not. It only matters what the WOMAN CLAIMS when she runs to child support. If you buy your kids clothes, food, etc. you have to have proof(receipts, etc.) that you take care of your own child. And they still will send you to jail, where the govt. then makes money to keep you in jail.

May I remind you, poverty was rife in many a black community in the 50s, 60s and 70s, yet black people were not killing each other in large numbers, you think about that.

Aid to "dependent children" They were denying black males fair employment, and if they did work it was low wages.
