enlarging is sometimes hard for me too. i would start out by enlarging objects (fruit is a good start) and work your way up to people. there isn't much to say to help on this one. just start out with easier pictures like easy outlines so you can figure out how the perportions relate. it is hard to explain!

so basically for the shading i block out the biggest areas...or the darkest areas. i then actually "color" in the dark areas. after i use a blending stick or i wrap the kleenex around my finger and blend it, by doing this it doesn't look scribbled and it automatically goes from dark to light giving it that realistic feel. (make sure you blend in a circular motion to make it look more 3D) hope this helps! if u have anymore questions i'd be happy to help!
