  • It took me a while but I do like Viki and Charlie. I wish they had more screen time and an engaging story, though.

  • I really enjoy all your clips ES... don't worry about what anyone else says. I am rooting for oyu... keep up the good work

  • Excuse me, but it was Clint who stood by Viki through who a heck of a lot more than both Sloan and Ben put together. Hell, Clint even endured learning about Viki's abuse and stuck with her through that. And I guess Sloan was so popular with viewers that the writers killed him off. And Ben's dealings with Niki Smith only got him killed, too. So, both Ben and Sloan are dead but Clint is still right there, even though he is played by another actor. And yes I am a super HUGE Clint and Viki fan!

  • OMG! I wondered how long it would take for one of you to start rearing your nasty attitudes on my posts. If you don't like it, don't watch it. I can always pull every Clint clip I have and then you will have nothing to complain about. IT"S A FREAKING SOAP OPERA!

  • @ESArchive Go right ahead and pull them!! Believe me there are PLENTY of Clint clips to watch without having to watch yours!! and again IT'S A FREAKING SOAP OPERA!! And we are entitled to our opinions!

  • @dereka79 Oh, and by the way, such a STUPID threat! Like my entire life revolves around this.

  • @dereka79 Writers have killed off fan favorites or beloved characters many times in soap history. Look at when GL decided to kill off Maureen Bauer in 1993. Many fans were upset. Sloan had a lot of fans and his fans were very vocal and angry when word broke out that he was gonna get killed off. You should know that popular characters have been killed off many times.

  • @spinnernet1 And you should also know that fans can be so vocal about something that said popular characters/actors are brought back (in some form or fashion). I just find it interesting that all this trouble went to breaking Clint and Viki up only to have Sloan die after such a short period of time. Nothing at all against Roy Thinnes. He is a wonderful actor and he was on the show before as Alex Coronal, but a mate for Viki, imo, he was quite lackluster.

  • @dereka79 Sloan's death was part of a much "bigger picture". The writers gave Viki a bunch of "jolts" leading up to the revelation that her father sexually abused her as a child. She had to deal with her son sleeping with her archenemy. She had to deal with Sloan's death. And she had to deal with Tina and David lying to her about David being her brother. The writers were trying to "shatter" Viki heading into the DID/childhood abuse storyline.

  • @dereka79 (Cont) Sloan was even in Viki's nightmares about her father, Dorian and Irene. The writers had a long term plan for Viki. Sloan's death was only part of a much bigger storyline. She didn't have Sloan to turn to while dealing with the DID and obviously she didn't want to turn to Clint when she confided in Renee about thinking Niki came back. Sloan's death was well planned out and it made sense. You need to look at the bigger picture.

  • @spinnernet1 Okay. Gee, thanks for letting me know stuff I already knew. But think about what you just said, the bigger picture. I don't think you needed Sloan in the mix to achieve all of that. Dorian was a huge catalyst in this story, and there were other shocks for Viki to "shatter" her: Dorian sleeping with Joey, Tina and David's deception, Dorian's lies, and THE big one -- Dorian telling Viki that Victor had slept with her.

  • @spinnernet1 You are only saying these things because obviously you loved the character of Sloan. I didn't. So, let's just leave it at that. No need to defend him or his place in this story or tell me how fans operate or a bigger picture.

  • @dereka79 I wouldn't say that I "loved" the character Sloan. In fact, I wanted Viki and Clint to get back together back then. But as time went on, I began to appreciate Sloan. I thought he was a good character. I thought OLTL did a good thing by making Viki have faults. She cheated on her husband Clint. Before that, Viki was almost a saint. Also, Sloan's book helped lead to Dorian getting put on trial for Victor Lord's murder. Sloan definitely served an important purpose.

  • @dereka79 (Cont) And please try not to get "offended" by my comments. I'm simply having a civilized discussion about a soap opera storyline and a character. I'm not bashing you or insulting you. It's fun to talk about this stuff. Many fans liked Sloan. But many Clint and Viki fans didn't like him. It's good to have a debate about the Viki/Sloan relationship no matter which side of the aisle you fall on.

  • LOL. Clint should have quit while he was ahead!

  • I agree. Come on folks, It's just a soap.

  • It IS just a soap and a quite enjoyable one. Just to be clear since there's some issue below: I just thought it was funny that if Clint had stopped at "have you and Sloan ever made love" he would have gotten the answer he wanted and been a happy camper. He posed that second question and d'oh! :) My comment wasn't meant as being pro- or anti- anyone. I like Viki with anyone and have fun watching these clips. :)
