  • nice

  • nice backgorund!

  • tried it, sucked for me. esp that i dont own an ios device so really did not like it. went back to 10.6.8 FTW!

  • When i saw you i got scared, i thought you were one of those things that pop up during a video and start screaming, the music also kind of made it look like that was going to happen

  • @rayados6 Next time I'll remember to scream really loud.

  • I never thought I would say this. Apple has actually made the computer harder to use, you know for people who use their computers to get things done. Blech. I've been a Mac-user since 1989. Won't be signing up for this version though.

  • Thanks. That's a VERY well done presentation. The music really framed it well too. I think it may even have sold me on moving from Windows to Mac, after a ten year exile. :) Sebastian

  • Windows 7.....The Best!

  • mac OS is much better and much reliable.

unfortunately, I am also using Windows 7.thanks for this video...............

  • @Q7R43 mac is a unix os

  • Hey dude, how do you record on Mac? I have no idea. Is it free?

  • @DarkFireKiller125 screenflow

  • @DarkFireKiller125 QuickTime X comes with the computer and records 24FPS including audio if you want Free.

  • Free dell laptop !!!!if you want a Free dell laptop than check my channel we are giving out Free dell laptop

  • using Windows gets you viruses, using Mac OS X gets you cancer.

  • @ericstocchero Pretty sure you have that switched.

  • @Jasoco He's actually correct, Mac is Unix based.

  • @Jasoco mac is a linux os.. Right? it is Unix bast!!

  • RIP Steve Jobs

  • @ericstocchero to add, i think it is less linux and more open source and open licensed technology, linux, bsd, open solaris etc.

but i think since vista Microsoft has been borrowing heavily from open source as well.

remember vista demos an identical looking solaris looking glass project (3d desktop interface) for vista.

    never made it into vista.

probably because they couldn't get round the more open liscesing.

and the system overhead for that particular inefficent os would have been crazy.

  • @cant1rac for certain! anyway, Mac OS has a better design than Win 7 for example... they did a good job, even getting the ideas from open sources OS'...

  • Imagine a giant cock flying towards your mouth and there nothing you can do about it and you're like "Oh man, im gonna have to suck this thing" and you brace yourself to suck this giant cock but then at the last moment it changes trajectory and hits you in the eye you think to yourself "Well atleast i got out the way of that one" but then the giant cock rears back and stabs your eye again and again and again eventually it slaps you out of your chair and jams itself into your anus for 5 hours

  • @madrat355 thats whta using mac os x is like

  • I think i am going to downgrade to snow leopard because the performance on my macbook sucks snow leopard's performance was way better my macbook is not old i bought it earlier this year i have only had it for 6 months i really miss the old snow leopard i don't like the scrolling in lion i don't like the glitches and performance drop i also really hate that i can't open my macbook in clamshell mode anymore and that i can't play my old power PC games and these scrollbars and buttons suck

  • my mac produces allot of HEAT! i mean i went down for like 20 minutes and my room whas very hot

  • Comment removed

  • does that mean snow leopard was a fail? They came out with SL not long ago and now they have a new one like Vista to 7 for Windows.

  • @hkfan1980 No. It's been years since Snow Leopard, and Apple's released big feature updates for OS X every 1 to 2.5 years since it came out in 2001. All of them cheaper than any version of Windows, and now even cheaper than half an Xbox game.

Snow Leopard was a huge success that made Leopard even better. Vista however was a huge failure that resulted in many users sticking with XP and some refusing to upgrade to 7.

  • is it the official one ?

  • @GoooboopTT Not the one in this video. This is from the first preview which was about 4 months or so ago.

  • Is Lion having any problem with MacBooks?

  • @Joselo1693 Shouldn't be. What model?

  • @Jasoco MacBook white?

  • @Joselo1693

hey there i upgraded to 10.7 but for some reason google chrome safari don't load any site and itunes wont open.. what can i do??

subscribe to the channel afterwards, thanks....

  • Testy McTesterson HAHAHA :D

  • @OrkaPower1337 It does not crash. That's why.

  • Buying a $1,500.00 or more Mac to save $30 seems a bit silly. Only buy a new Mac if you absolutely need it.

  • @yourfinalfight apple has been rebranding things for years, so if its true that they integrated ios into mac os that would not surprise me nor should it be a surprise to you.

  • Liquid cooling is a rip off. My 3.3Ghz desktop cpu runs at 19-21c full load without liquid cooling.

  • I love Windows users that say I'm not getting an Apple because you can't right click the mouse! LOL! Shows how much they get around tech world.

  • @eb2600 Well, macs do stuff in a kind of restrictive way. You do have to admit that. No full screen, no uninstaller, toolbars separate from the apps, etc.

  • @jpcwa74 Fullscreen has been in Mac OS since 1984. Uninstallers are only required for certain apps that when need be will actually come with the uninstallers you need. Otherwise it's a simple drag and drop to uninstall. There's no restriction. Stop with the FUD. And the menubar being at the top is for a reason you know. It's called "Fitt's Law" and I think you should Google that right now.

  • @Jasoco that's an exaggeration because that little green button does not make your apps full screen, most it wont even size to 3/4th screen when that button is pressed. And not all apps work with ^commandF. Matter of fact, most do not. I'm on a mac so I know!!! Besides, if Mac OS x truly had full screen capabilities for all apps then Jobs woud not be bragging about it being added to Os X Lion.

  • @Jasoco As for no restrictions. That's total BS. Try saving a docx file to a thumb drive that's been formated in ntfs.

  • Cool video.Are you developer?

  • nice beard dude

  • sounds like an OS Bob Marley would approve:

oh, Lion? Ja, Lion is good maan. good name.

    *takes another smoke*

    Lion, maan....

Steve Jobs is way cooler than Bill Gates. names like this one make me think he smokes weed at Apple board meetings...

  • Music please?

  • Well, looks worthy of $30. I certainly can see making use of this on my MBP, but I'm still pissed that it comes on such overpriced and OUTDATED hardware. $2400 my Mac cost me 7 months ago, and it can't even edit HD videos without noticeable lag.

  • @PoliticalHell hackintosh

  • @PoliticalHell

2400 Dollars?! Dude, if you have that amount of cash to spend on a computer, why on Earth spend it on a Mac?

for this price, you could have bought a monstrous over-clocked-liquid-cooled-multi-Corei7-processor-with-high-end-video-cards PC, that would take any HD video you threw at it, and asked for more!

  • @igortroy It's a laptop, and I honestly needed more reliability and battery life and portability over power, as well as OS X to have access to all of the operating systems. That being said, it's still a massive ripoff. The design is nowhere near as perfect as Mac fanboys claim it to be.

  • @PoliticalHell well then, how about a Lenovo Thinkpad T420s, X1 or W520? or Dell's Latitude ATG and Precision series? or a Sony Vaio? there are plenty of non-Mac laptops out there which offer better performance and better battery life than your ripoff Macbook Pro, some for almost half the price. you might find some of these high-end laptops uglier than your Mac (still, Apple are experts in design), but they sure won't have any trouble with HD video editing or anything else you need them to do.

  • @igortroy It still doesn't cover OS X, which I wanted on at least one computer for experience, learning and development purposes. Not to mention my ever-growing resentment of Windows.

  • @PoliticalHell one word: Hackintosh (assuming you already own an OSX CD).

and personally I don't think there's anything wrong with Windows - except the fact those greedy M$ bastards sell cheap "demo versions" of Windows 7, and you need to pay a ton of money to get one of the "full" versions (which are Ultimate and Business) - although I still prefer Linux.

speaking of Linux, most distributions can be tweaked to look and function exactly like OSX.

  • @igortroy I know you can, but it's a hassle. You never know if an update/upgrade will screw you over or if your hardware will cause problems. No support either, which is not something I'm willing to deal with when using the computer for more than just checking email.

Linux has its perks, and I do have it on my PC for when I need it, but as I said, OS X is its own class and I wanted to be able to test it out.

  • @igortroy but they wont have the programing only the look and feel.

  • @jpcwa74 you mean Linux or Hackintosh? if you meant Linux then I partially agree, because some OS X applications are also available for Linux and there are good replacements for the others.

Hackintosh has no such problem because it's simply OS X running on hardware identical to that of a MAC but without the Apple logo (or in short - a PC).

but PoliticalHell did bring up a good point in Apple's software updates screwing non-Apple users. they like to do that from time to time. possibly on purpose.

  • @igortroy The features I mentioned are not apps they are things built into the OS itself. As for hackintosh, thats no longer possible. OS X Lion is available only via the app store and they verify your machine before downloading.

  • @igortroy and they all have very bad keyboard flex. For someone like me who does a lot of keyboarding and word processing the last thing I need.

  • @rollercoaster524 Bullshit its too simple which means complicated , ugly , slower than windows ( except for the boot and the shut down time ) , its has really unneeded apps and windows 7 also has 3D if u download or buy ( i prefer to download cuz im a pirate :D ) 1 program .

  • mac os x is based off a free operating system

  • @kookieless omfg... does that matter. And windows is worse then that free OS yet millions of people still pay a lot for it. Water bottles are based off of a pratically free liquid coming out of your tap ya you still see a lot of those...

  • @WarpeaceWar6 my tap water isn't clean so i need bottles btw it is freebsd

  • @WarpeaceWar6 btw all mac os x is simplifies the BSD unix it is based off of which is actually very complex

  • @kookieless all windows is is the simplification of the dlls and whatever else it uses yet it costs 250...people pay for stuff like that

  • you probably can't scroll the widget's because it causes it to use a lot of cpu but, not really sure myself

  • @jlkill3r I highly doubt that. It's a list of Widgets. The ENTIRE SCREEN scrolls when you swipe. They just overlooked the Widgets list for some reason.

  • Is this a Mac OS preview or the Last of the Mohicans trailer?

  • @evenforever Maybe it's both.

  • This is already in app store or where i can downloading/

  • I love all the features but I have to problems.

    1. Front Row is now gone BOOOO!!!

    2. Not to sound silly but the Arrangements View has been in Windows for a long time... I am glad they added it though. Just after all the controversy with Vista, the pot kept calling the kettle black.

  • @link48010 NOO NOT FRONT ROW GONE!!!!!! U KIDDING!

  • @comneard55 I wish I was, I still use it all the time.

  • @comneard55 Plex/Nine is better. Hell, Boxee and XBMC are better too. Unless you only have iTunes media which won't work in those. Then in that case, get an AppleTV or just play the videos in your iTunes or QuickTime.

  • Nice, but why the bullshit music?

  • @UKTuTS I assumed the silence would be terrible. You know you can mute it if you want to.

  • what kind of computer are you using with this?

  • @photocide1 MacBook Pro. But I installed Lion to an external HDD so it's a bit slower than it'll be when I install it onto my SSD.

  • OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX OS X SUX

  • Sad part.. I Have a super duper windows machine... yet... it will never run as fluid or stutter free like OSX

  • Inception music FTW :D

  • You look weird

  • @madmax77ipad Why thank you!

  • You just gained a new subscriber. Also, nice choice of music man :) Thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • I love your choice of music

  • Would you say its faster than 10.6.8? I have a macbook pro and not sure if i should get it when its available.. If all my current apps will work or what.. thanks

  • I DO like the way full-screen windows are handled sort of "outside" the workspaces. I hope something like that is released for Gnome3, either as an extension, or an update.

  • i got the problem with the itunes

    i've tried with 10.3.1 and 10.5

    and neither seems working

in the itunes 10.3 i got error because itunes not compatible

and in 10.5 i got "the Itunes application could not be opened. an unknown error occured (-50) "

    can anyone help me?

  • im concerned with the app store being able to take all the downloads of lion.

  • @comneard55 I hope they've prepared their servers for the onslaught of downloads. I doubt they'd decide to go all digital distribution if they weren't prepared for the bandwidth. Fingers crossed!

  • @Jasoco i know. im not keen to put this on my imac. im putting it on my macbook pro first. anyone had any trouble with apps like dropbox?

  • @comneard55 None that I've seen yet. The app supposedly works fine except for not being able to badge icons because of the way the Finder works now.

  • @comneard55 Apple has an OC connection. Its like an Oc-192 or something.

  • @comneard55 It's funny because it is only digital, xD

  • The background music is so annoying

  • bull shit...im so jelous -.-"

  • Thumbs up if the Mac won't be able to play Battlefield 3!!!

  • I want to get a mac :( but i can only afford a PC :\ I'm not hatting on PC or anything here but i like mac's from the videos i have seen. Luckuly i made my PC look like a mac :D still not as good as a mac but somethings something.

  • love lion

  • sorry but when he goes into the camera at 509 theres a mt dew collection above his head...cant blame the guy mt dew fucking rocks

  • hey i got the mac osx lion on my mac but it seems like the sound isn't working. did the same thing happened to u??

  • Comment removed

  • @Jasco WOW that's a pretty loaded video you got there.... Tell me... is it possible tu CUT files in Finder now? That would be so cool.

  • @Stoozor YES. You can! But they hid the option pretty well.

You need to "Copy" a file first. Then in the location you want to put it, you need to hold down OPTION when right-clicking or clicking Edit and the "Paste" menu changes to "Move item here". It's silly. It shouldn't be hidden like that. But it's there!

  • @Jasoco OMGGGGGGGG This is so awesome! Not being able to cut files in Mac OS has always been a huuuuuuge annoyance for me. Glad to hear it's possible now!

  • I Cant wait so long

  • lion is a waste of money lol

  • @mcrayzor1 Incorrect. My god how incorrect. It's $30 and includes some of the most amazing improvements.

  • @Jasoco And you don't need any other mac osx previously installed? I'm going to build a hackintosh cause Apple hardware sucks since they 've passed to x86.

  • @Jasoco 250 additional features is pretty significant, so I would agree.

  • @mcrayzor1 Mac os x Lion has lots of things that impresses me. Its like the iPad's brother. It will simply make Snow Leopard obsolete soon.

  • @mcrayzor1

its a service pack, and people are gonna pay for it lol.

look alot like the took gnome 3 and pasted it to 10.6

  • @SuperDeluxe80 still a waste

  • @mcrayzor1

yup should be a free update

  • @SuperDeluxe80 It adds 250 features. That's more than a service pack.

  • @jpcwa74

bet you didnt even read what they were, because almost all of them already exist all they did was upgrade them and thats a service pack

  • @SuperDeluxe80 service packs install patches and fixes not updates and additional features.

  • @SuperDeluxe80 250 additional features added is not them already existing. Versions for example, does not exist in Mac Os X snow lep.

  • Question: I am a developer and have my beta version of Lion. The first beta i installed had all the features mentioned by Apple, however, on the 4th beta, the real-time page switching in safari doesn't work and a couple more features have gone missing, is it something in the settings or have apple not told me something?

  • I've a question. It might look stupid, but it isn't.

Can you download allocations from the Internet, not using the Mac app store?

I was wondering 'cause lion looks moor like iOS and there you can't.

    Really need to know.

It's for applications that apple don't let into the Mac app store… etc.

  • @Ulf1103 Of course you can... can you imagine the uproar if you couldn't?

  • @Stoozor

Ofcourse, Apple would distroy itself when they did.

But then again, if they keep the 30%, many developers would just post it online, not on the apple store.

So I could understand them if they did.

    That's why I asked it. :)

  • Windows is king

  • Full Screen, WOW!

Microsoft did that 20 years ago. Apple has so much to learn.

  • @10p6 All OS's have had Fullscreen since the dawn of time. What's different in Lion is how it's pulled off. It's the most useful version of Fullscreen yet because it no longer takes over the entire system. Now it lets you keep an app fullscreen while keeping the rest of the OS fully accessible. I suspect Windows 8 will have this too because all desktop OS' are starting to become more like the tablet OS' that were spawned from them in the first place.

  • @Jasoco My point is that Mac until now has made it a pain in the butt to do full screen.

  • @10p6 I think all OS' have made it a pain. Now they all seem to finally be figuring it out. Keep full screen while still allowing access to the rest of the system. It's all good for everyone.

  • @Jasoco I think the guy's talking about how you couldn't automatically maximize a window in Mac OS the way you can with Windows

  • thumbs up for inception soundtrack

  • Many of these features exist in KDE already so I'm not very impressed.

  • So, it's kinda like the new Ubuntu?

  • @Gipshaw No, the new Ubuntu is kinda like Lion. These features were shown off over a year ago.

  • @Jasoco

I meant to say the new Gnome. heh.

Gnome shell was first shown more than 2 years ago, but it has evolved since then. Ubuntu's Unity interface was first shown off more than a year ago as well, and a version of it was already being used in Ubuntu Netbook edition even before then.

  • @Jasoco ubuntu dont have dynamic auto-save / versions. Ubuntu dont have anything that even comes close to that.

  • Can't wait to get the lion!!

  • @yourfinalfight I somewhat agree. I've been using the Lion Developer Preview-- the core experience is pretty similar to Snow Leopard, but there are some major differences. It isn't a dramatic difference, but the features they've included are pretty significant / useful in most cases.

  • i am a mac biggest fan

  • how did u get that now

  • wow! you can now drag the window side to resize and the green button actually maximizes the window! I can't believe it!

  • Not impressed.

  • Thanks. Thorough and quite informative.

  • Only took em 27 years looololol!

  • watch?v=UxeEhkN8S6E

Thumbs Up so others can see this

  • shut up and take my money

  • Чувак, тебе не быть звукорежиссером.

  • Shawshank Redemption theme music?

  • @Whatisright yeah correct

  • 10:48 "Textwrangler does not get them..." EPIC MUSIC

  • hi i was wondering if anyone will know if swiping will work with the older macbook pro's like mine late 2008 model. i also got the mighty mouse.. so no swiping for me.. but will the ball work just as same?

    thanks.

  • @Junr34 The ball just scrolls. You'll probably just have to use keyboard commands. If it were me, I'd just get a Magic Trackpad. I can't even go back to mice ever since I got my Pro.

  • Awesome video. Very well explained and I love the soundtrack! You rock man!
