Hey man I been doin alot of guitar research lately and I really like this guitar but the only thing is alot of people say the neck is fat and others say its thin I play death metal and other stuff but anyways whats your opinion and how do you think it will stand up for death metal?
@LineriderTutorialGuy Since he hasnt replied ill answer for you. Its not a bad guitar at all though a beginner will probably have issues with the fact it has a floyd rose so i would personally reconmend a hard tail bridge. Unless the beginner has at least 1 other guitar I would suggest not to buy this guitar cause changing tuning is a hassle with a FR.
Great Video man...thanks....do not waste time even thinking about haters...most people hate change and knowing Guitarheads do not have the HUGE overhead as all the so-called name brands they are the same pickups as SD..brands...most people love em' once they tried em'
how much would you say there's treble, mid, and bass on the pickup? Is it too squirmy of nice n bassy. are the mids high or low. same thing with the highs/trebles.
I would say NO to the megametals... Honestly, when I got them I installed them right away, and they SUCKED. They are not even hot, no sustain, and are kinda quiet. (Think cheapo guitar stock humbuckers.) Now i am rockin' the Seymour Duncan Blackouts and will never buy guitarheads pickups again.
Thanks for your input. Maybe you just got a bad set, but this guy has them sounding pretty good. I'm still looking into other stuff, but I don't want active pickups to ruin my cleans and plus they'll only sound good on my tube amp not my solid state. Any suggestions?
If you want to keep your cleans, i have had good experience with EMG HZ's even though they dont get the respect they deserve. Also If your looking to go the cheaper route, guitar center sells a "Duncan Performer" and it sounds excellent in every way for the price!
Hi I'm really interested in getting a set of these megametal pickups. How would you say they are from cleans and classic rock all the way to metal? Thanks
hey dude i have the same guitar and i was wondering is there a noise from the new middle pup and can you get a really pristine really high sound from the neck rail pup?
with the new pups there isnt any single coil hum which was expected with the stock pickups,
if you want to remove the hum you need the middle pickup to be reverse wounded to do that, or in my case its all 3 humbuckers so no hum in any position but they still have that single coil-ish sparkle,
to really get the more single coil sound, change the stock volume and tone controls to a push pull potentiometers so you can coil tap them
you shoudve got the mini rails with the chrome strips to match the bridge

That GH humbucker is nice but not quite my taste, I think ill go with the GFS Power Rails. By the way nice guitar.

I think seymour duncans are overrated, and definitely overpriced.
I love all of the guitarhead pickups demos here on youtube. All of them sing.
I bought the GH Hexbuckers, which aren't really different from the Megametals other than the metal strip. Can't wait for them to come in the mail.
Awesome demo!
