@1995pg This is called open-hand playing and is the way of the future. I started out cross-handed like everyone else, but it's one of the worst things we as drummers came up with. Playing open-hand gets rid of the concept of a weak hand, and to quote Dom Famularo, "it's like having two right hands!". It *does* take a lot practice and re-wiring in your brain however. But for those that stick with it, it's like having twice as much kit, and on most kits you can hit any drum or cymbal at any time.
