Omg Thirteen is absolutelyy awesomee, i love the drop bit especially wen u go backwards, i went yesterday for the last dayy of school and i screamed all the way and it was awesome, butt it was a red hot dayy too woooo XX

It's creepy... I've been on it and it really is on a burial site... there is also a sort of illusion inside where there are loads of lights apparently going forward, then the track drops and moves up a bit, then you go on the backwards drop. Really, really cool ride though!

i've been to alton towers way to many times, i went yesterday and hardly anyone was going on thirteen because the queing time said 13 mins so everyone thought it was way too unlucky but we went on it anyway!

@wumwip the music is from HEX which is an attraction at alton towers.its from the video that plays at the beggining and some dude tells a story over the music. it features later on in the ride too. its not from oblivion as far as i know and i've been on it a lot! maybe google it and someone will know?

@shadowenforcer911 don't believe your friend, i saw a website that said that there was an age restriction, but on the alton towers website, it says nothing about an age restriction, you just have to be between 1.2 and 1.96 meters tall, you can even chech if you don't believe me

Have watched GMTV this morning and I really am shocked at the hype that has gone on over this ride! I was really excited but now am not so sure, just looks like a basic roller coaster and has a drop in the indoor bit and then you go backwards, I was expecting real drama and to be really scared!! I will still ride it when i go on the 3rd April and hope that it is a better experience on the ride than watching the ride!! ;(

It can't go upside down, there are no over shoulder restraints, the car is like the runaway train car/train. Lap belts n all.

from previous comments i dont think the ride goes upside down but it does have 2-swithback segments, it does go backwards into a helix and it probably have the vertical lift drop as described in this video.

yes what i thought but i think will like spiderman ride in orlando, it make you feel real. I think the track move and drop with screen inside building made you feel drop far below.

No it launches backwards. (Not a very fast launch, but a fast enough launch to surprise you!
