Why is he calling it "F5" or "G5" when those are clearly C#5 and D#5?!
The capo only frets everything at the 8th fret- making the E string sound as a C note- but it doesn't change the 8th fret on the E string to an E note...
your video is good but you explain so fast and you dont repeat and doesnt explain , step by step the primordial steps :/ you confuse a lot , and we need to repeat the video more than 25 times only for try to understand the first part!! :/ :c the explanation is equal good as my english :c
@satrianicomplx I didn't really use this lesson, but it's digital media, so you can restart the video, or replay it from any point. I prefer this to a video that repeats a concept i entirely understand many times, and I can't skip ahead without jumping back and forth in the video to find the start of the next part.
I think a lot of people who are more advanced players, or those who play genres that aren't pop forget that guitar isn't all about extremely technical playing; everyone has different skill levels and different tastes, and the point of a guitar magazine will be able to cater for everyone's tastes. Ok, so this is easy to you, but one day it would have been a bitch for you to play. So don't hate on a video because you find it easy.
music is beautiful. it does something to the hman soul that nothing else can. from bach to black eyed peas, from moonlight sonata to master of puppets, this music means something to someone out there. dont hate on something bringing joy to someones life.
@SuperGuitarMark I'm not a fan of this band, but they are way more creative than the majority of contemporary metal artists, there is nothing creative about playing extremely fast that went out of style after the 80s
@gnrfanatic141414 Metal is really the only form of music still living today. Sure, other styles exist and always will, but at the moment none of it gets released big-time. The greatest guitarists have either played metal, or helped form it. I've never met a metal guitarist who sticks to 'metal' - Most of them I know aspire to becoming the greatest they possibly can and learn styles such as blues, jazz, flamenco, classical etc After all, metal is pretty much blues just a hell-of -a-lot faster.
@maccatheguitarist Disclaimer: I am not angry or trying to argue with you lol i always end up in an argument. what do mean by only form of music living today? and which type of metal are you talking about? who I think of as some of the greatest guitarist's didn't have anything to do with metal. and this is just my experience, but all metal guitarist's i've encountered have no idea how to play blues, jazz, or classical. and i can't pick out the bluesy stuff in metal.
@gnrfanatic141414 Haha nah it's fine, I wouldn't take offence to anything you said anyway, its not an argument, it's a discussion, obviously we come from different musical backgrounds and that's fine :) Take Alex Skolnick for example, absolute thrash head in Testament, now he's one of the greatest Jazz players of modern times. Kirk Hammett's biggest influence is no doubt Hendrix, just listen to his solos. All that's different is a lot more gain and played a lot faster. Metal is music.
@maccatheguitarist metal isn't the only form of music still living today. there's so much more music than just metal. alternative, techno, rock, reggae, blues, classical, pop, metal, it's all going strong, just in different groups, or "Cliques" to say. you really can't say that metal is the only music still living.
@gnrfanatic141414 Of course it's not the only type of music, and I guess it's different for me because I live in Australia, but I've never heard of any new age reggae, blues or alternative acts make it big. The only kind of stuff that gets played on Australian radio or gets advertised is pop, indie or dance. I really don't consider that music. Then again there's a whole new argument in there about what defines music. I just don't agree with you saying metal is not music.
@gnrfanatic141414 Well, your partially right. I should have specified on what kind of metal. Im not into the emo/scene stuff like bring me the horizon or escape the fate, ur right. But if u want something with art, check out dream theater, Apocalyptica (Metal band with orchestra instruments), & Tool (Not necessarily metal but they do have a few heavy songs & they are just artistic beyond belief). Also, its alot harder to play metal and & alot of dedication.
@damien506 Do you not understand the concept of lessons? The necessity of simple lessons is to help beginners learn their way around the fretboard, but assholes like you always have to make musicianship out to be a contest it sounds to me like you're just insecure about your own abilities
@22FretsIsNotEnough You should try a Prs Custom 24. I love them! but way overprices. Maybe a few hundred dollars more than a Gibson Les Paul standard.
@22FretsIsNotEnough not all, but very few pop songs very very few. cuz a lot of pop artists are just as mainstream as lady gaga these days...we dont want that.

If anyone (even those just starting out) find this difficult, you need to find another instrument.
