Well All the tailed demons are evil don't forget before they were sealed inside their respective bodies they were just mindless beasts so none of them were really evil just destructive. Now that they have a human host they possess the abilities to speak and think on higher levels but still wish to cause great destruction, I think it all depends on whether the beast inside you respects I mean look how little the kyuubi respects Naruto the only reason it protects him is so that it can survive.
