There is no such prohibition. However, since the tradition has it that God's name is unpronouncable (except by the High Priest on Yom Kippur in the Holy of Holies) we do not pronounce it. It is said to hold awesome power and so we still hold to the tradx of not saying it...even though we know that if we knew how it was uttered, nothing would happen to us!
