From personal experience, she is both at once. If you play the part before really bad and get wrecked too much, the second Hyper Beam volley WILL most likely kill you. That and you have to cause her enough damage bfore she starts using it to begin with.

hey i beat mother brain with 21 super missles, 15 missles, and 12 power bombs, use your missles on mother brain in form 1, then use super missles when you run out. in form two, use the plasma charge up until MB starts using the red beam use your super missles and u willl be fine
