@ohioborn80 manual, C&L intake, bama race tune, bbk long tube headers, o/r x-pipe, resonator delete to american thunder axle back. jlt oil separator, 1.5 inch lowering spring in front stock in the rear had to put them back on to clear my rear tires. MT ET radial. I have the front runners from racestar as well, but I have to send one back to LMR to have the tire replaced, ordering some new lugnuts, because the racestar lug nuts are junk
@TheMustangStampede WIth all that you should be able to get some mid 11 range. least 11.7's range. My time corrected to a 11.3@122 with a DA I ran in. Oh and yes the ones that come with racestars are junk. I ordered MCgaurds for mine. from summit. Also why couldn't fit rear tires? I run a 15x10 rim 295/55/15 in the rear. I am lowered about 1.5 inches in the rear as well. Cut 1.5 60fts as well.
As mentioned I have Weld RT-s wheels now. I like them simple cause they are a better rim. They are forged/Stronger/lighter and all all better then the Race Stars. I DD on the Welds. 17x4 fronts and 15x0 rears. I would never do that on t he Race Stars as they are not Forged rims.
If both cars don't have good tires then what is the point of racing? I hope people dont take races like that seriously because they're fooling themselves lolololololo.

@ohioborn80 I am only running long tubes, high flow cats and a cold air intake with the STOCK TUNE. The check engine light is on because of it but it is because the rear O2 sensors are in a diffrent location. That does not control and of the air/fuel or anything that makes the car run bad. If I didnt have the stock tune, I couldnt have just gotten some warranty work done...
@SinfullSS The a/f will be off because of teh increased air flow from cold air and headers. As far as warranty work all depends on dealer. My G8 with full bolt ons dealer didnt give much crap. Well chevy dealer didnt. Pontiac dealer did.
One thing I find that hardly ever gets addressed anywhere is the final- drive ratio of the two vehicles. This is core to many of the arguments that people seem to get all bent out of shape on. Final- drive can shave an easy .5+ off a quarter mile time. Camaro has 2 "Factory" ratios (3.27 auto/3.47 manual). Mustang has 4 (3.15 auto/3.31, 3.55, 3.73 manual) I believe that anyone, regardless of "fanboy" status, who knows their stuff will agree...
Even if the 5.0 beats the SS stock vs stock, Ford had a whole year to rethink and rebuild the mustang so it's 2011 vs 2010 wait for the 2012 vs 2012 I can't wait for all the ford fanboys to reply to my comment
@EliteLoveday23 I'll bite. Not in the typical "fanboy" fashion though. I can't wait for 2012 either. I think it'll be close. Considering that the ZL1 is still a "prototype" (but it looks mostly done) it should be interesting. I think it's going to be expensive though... I think they'll bring the Z28 badging back and give it to the current SS platform and give it a few updates to better compete with the GT or maybe the Boss. I think the ZL1 is aimed at the GT500 and will be badged SS.

I have ran several Mustang 5.0s with the diffrent gears, The one in the video here has the 3.55 and one I ran at the track the other day had the 3.73. Neither of them beat me. But the fastest times in the 5.0s are being ran by the ones with the auto/3.27.

@SinfullSS I'm with you on that. I'm so happy I don't have to mod the crap out of my car JUST to make it a drivers race... They trim some fat off the SRT8 Challenger it could easily be a contender. I don't remember exactly but like 600lbs more than me and like 3 or 400 more than you. Pitty Dodge screwed up the Charger. Way too much heritage there to condemn it to sedan land. Truth be told if Pontiac was still around it's tough to say whether or not I'd be driving a Firebird around.

@SinfullSS fastest stock 5.0 is a manual actually. Ran 12.22..I also ran a 12.12 with just tires in mid 80 weather. Camaro's are no match for the 5.0. I have raced a bunch of camaros. When i was stock and now when i had just tune, cold air, x pipe and gears. Ones with sam eitems as me stood no chance. One that was close had full bolt ons. Now i have full bolt ons and only camaro wants to race me is one with a supercharger..It being arranged at the track..Im at 470whp with bolt ons

@91battlered We are talking stock times. No 4th gen or 3rd gen went low 12s bone stock . The current LS3 makes same power as the 5.0 mod for mod. If you want we can bring in Ford engines that make 600hp N/A like their 521cu in. To say a 10yr old car that is modded to the guils beat a stock car wow..Not impressed at all. once you dump 15k into a car do a engine swap i hope it beats a stock car.

Gut the car and run faster all day for 13k.

13.0 for a full bolt on SS and a 13.3 for a 2011. decent numbers. SS has a bunch more power. im sure the SS had no tune? hmmmm. those are stock mustang number depending on DA. DA must have been bad for the ss/stang to run that slow.
Far from a full bolt on SS, all I have is a cold air intake and long tubes, and yes its the STOCK TUNE. I went consistant 13.12s bone stock with a couple passes breaking into 12s with a better 60ft. In this vid, I have the 22" street tires so I was spinning ALOT. The SS's dont have "a bunch more power". Stock the SS is 426 and the 5.0 is 412 with the stang being lighter. Read the vid description for the mods on both cars...
@XassasinatorX thats not a full bolt on SS. Also, 13.0 is actually bad for the SS. The 22" wheels might be the reason. My SS ran 12.8s right out of the showroom. and 12.5s when I ran it with some lighter 17" factory C5 Z06 wheels that I bought off of craigslist. And that was with no mods other than the change of wheels/tires.
The 2010 didnt come with a 5.0. And yes, the Camaro won. If you go to the track, your average drivers are turning about the same times in the SS and 5.0. Even a couple magazines have the SS faster in the 1/4. Get to the track in your car and see what you can do.

If you go to the track and arent a magazine racer the average times for the new 5.0s are about the same as the SS so its pretty much always going to be a drivers race. something is off here... Stock 5.0 auto's are faster than that. A tuned 5.0 will run 12.1-12.3's all day with those mods. I believe you raced a 2010 or the guy driving the stang sucked bad. great sounding camaro!

I actually haven't done alot of looking into the fastest 5.0. The fastest I can think of off the top of my head ran 8's but was FAR from stock. Still had factory interior though which is kinda nifty I think. I'm just glad we can actually have the stock v stock argument.

@SinfullSS I'm with you on that. I'm so happy I don't have to mod the crap out of my car JUST to make it a drivers race... They trim some fat off the SRT8 Challenger it could easily be a contender. I don't remember exactly but like 600lbs more than me and like 3 or 400 more than you. Pitty Dodge screwed up the Charger. Way too much heritage there to condemn it to sedan land. Truth be told if Pontiac was still around it's tough to say whether or not I'd be driving a Firebird around.

@SinfullSS fastest stock 5.0 is a manual actually. Ran 12.22..I also ran a 12.12 with just tires in mid 80 weather. Camaro's are no match for the 5.0. I have raced a bunch of camaros. When i was stock and now when i had just tune, cold air, x pipe and gears. Ones with sam eitems as me stood no chance. One that was close had full bolt ons. Now i have full bolt ons and only camaro wants to race me is one with a supercharger..It being arranged at the track..Im at 470whp with bolt ons

@91battlered We are talking stock times. No 4th gen or 3rd gen went low 12s bone stock . The current LS3 makes same power as the 5.0 mod for mod. If you want we can bring in Ford engines that make 600hp N/A like their 521cu in. To say a 10yr old car that is modded to the guils beat a stock car wow..Not impressed at all. once you dump 15k into a car do a engine swap i hope it beats a stock car.

But like said you want to do engine swaps in a 4th gen i guess that is ok..Same can be done t o a new 5.0 and run faster. Look Evolution performance as went mid 8s in their 5.0. Not bad for a car that has been out less then a year.

@ohioborn80 ive been driving and modifing 3rd and 4th gens for more than 20 yrs and im telling u your new 5.0 brings nothing new to the table and if u have run a modded ls car with lighter weight u are going tolose everytime and if u compare modern ls3 ls7 lsx 454 in these 3rd 4th gens and compare the price of your car vs these car u have wasted 10s of thousands and these cars will dominate u in every way and your mid 8 car 65000 plus into that car and they have lsx cars in the sixes

@91battlered As far as other comment you left not sure where it went. My car ran 11.8 with less then 500 in it. As far as conversions to LS of course there is more. Its been around a lot longer.
Also like said you sound like a honda fan boy. Well you have bought the car and then modded. I could have bought a used car. Sure. Then swapped engines and had less invested. But why. I like the new look. Mod for mod the 5.0 will hang with the LS3 all day.

Of lsx cars getting beat. Even on ls1tech they are praising the new 5.0. Like said want t o swap engines compare prices. Buy a 98 mustang drop ford's 521 cu in that has 600hp from the factory. Gut the car and run faster all day for 13k.

@ohioborn80 i seen your video and u are only running 11 .8s and these car i mentioned are full weight that way from the factory and im running 10.64 136 on the motor 9.62 147 on the bottle with a/c and passes emmissions and gets 22 miles per gallon look at the vids of mustangs with ls and lsx motors imports with ls motors point is there is way more conversions with ls motors and is way more desired than any other motors because of the higher celing power potential vs the ford motors

The LS1 cars arent as fast as the new SS. Go to a track and ask any Camaro to run you. If the 5.0 is way under rated then it should be runnig way faster then what it does shouldnt it? 13.0 for a full bolt on SS and a 13.3 for a 2011. decent numbers. SS has a bunch more power. im sure the SS had no tune? hmmmm. those are stock mustang number depending on DA. DA must have been bad for the ss/stang to run that slow.

Far from a full bolt on SS, all I have is a cold air intake and long tubes, and yes its the STOCK TUNE. I went consistant 13.12s bone stock with a couple passes breaking into 12s with a better 60ft. In this vid, I have the 22" street tires so I was spinning ALOT. The SS's dont have "a bunch more power". Stock the SS is 426 and the 5.0 is 412 with the stang being lighter. Read the vid description for the mods on both cars...

@XassasinatorX thats not a full bolt on SS. Also, 13.0 is actually bad for the SS. The 22" wheels might be the reason. My SS ran 12.8s right out of the showroom. and 12.5s when I ran it with some lighter 17" factory C5 Z06 wheels that I bought off of craigslist. And that was with no mods other than the change of wheels/tires.

The 2010 didnt come with a 5.0. And yes, the Camaro won. If you go to the track, your average drivers are turning about the same times in the SS and 5.0. Even a couple magazines have the SS faster in the 1/4. Get to the track in your car and see what you can do.

If you go to the track and arent a magazine racer the average times for the new 5.0s are about the same as the SS so its pretty much always going to be a drivers race. something is off here... Stock 5.0 auto's are faster than that. A tuned 5.0 will run 12.1-12.3's all day with those mods. I believe you raced a 2010 or the guy driving the stang sucked bad. great sounding camaro!
