  • Nice,X7 was my first bike after passing my test back in the mid 80s,bloke i bought it from had fitted it withTs125 pistons in it had 3 head gaskets.Didn't last very long before it blew up went like fook though.Got it back to standard after that new crank as well.Happy days.

  • Reminds me of my old X7 with Microns, would love to buy it back, If anyone owns or knows the owner of BRB508T let me know, i sold it in 1997, it's still taxed so guessing its still on the road  

  • LOVELY

  • I WANT IT !

  • Take three links out of the chain, remove the swinging arm and replace directly with no probs one from a GT250 K,L,M,A,B,C etc....and then go and ride one.If you think a stock one is fun?.....try this!!!! I did it,it works and its ace! ;o)

And the best thing is....there is no visual difference at all!.

  • I bought an x reg one in 82. Loved it and want another.

  • Contact me if you still after a X7, just finished doing another one.

  • @WhatTheShiz9951

The above comment was by me, I was logged in on my girlfriend's son's account. Doing up and old GP100 and CX500 at the moment,so daren't get an X7 yet or our Gert'll go nuts.

  • Spent most of my teenage years racing my mate , me on my X7 and he on his RD250LC. X7 was a gnats quicker up to 100 mph (good deal quicker 0-60 as most of this would only be on one wheel) and he always used to creep past me flat out. In fairness the LC was probably quicker at 60+ as my mate was a couple of stones heavier than me. The X7 laid claim to be able to go from 0 - flat out within a quarter mile

  • had one of these in 1982, to here it and see it the memories came flooding back great bike ......

  • I had an X5 (with X7 tank and sidepanels, no less!) Sounded very much like yours, but was 50cc less. Bought my old TR1 back after 23 years in '07, and parts are pretty hard to find. You must be in the same ballpark, as X7's are even rarer than TR1s.

  • A credit to you!

  • Thanks for comment, just so good to get out and use it.

  • Very nice! I sold mine to a friend who also bought a pallet of X7 parts for next to nothing from a dealer, rode it for a month and stuck it in his shed. That was over 5 years ago, it's still there and he has no intention of riding it again or selling it back to me - tragic!

  • Hi what a waste you need to twist his arm and get him sell to you, the smell of 2 stroke is great again,

  • now this is a real bike kids....!!!

  • Alright, after all these years I'll finally give up and say an x7 s faster than an RD,only just tho!

  • Hi may be quicker than the early RD but not as quick as the 250lc,

  • ye I remember the arguments!Would'nt mind another rd,a yellow or white air cooled 400 on allspeeds, yeah!

  • . . . . but i want to know what little 'secrets' lurk under the sheets and tarpaulins behind it ? LC's, GT's, RD's, YPVS's, FS1-e's ??? come on spill the beans mate (hope its not just an old wicker chair and an ironing board - ha ha ha ha)

Hey check out my restored YPVS too ! Ian

  • Hi, another X7 project and an RD400, just cannot get enough of 2 strokes.

  • Fantastic ! Looks and sound just spot on !

  • thats a nice x7 there pal, maybe a 2/4 seat, thanks for the vid.

  • nice one mate not many around. sounds good...

  • Great to get the comments cannot beleive so many people have watched this clip so far, does smell and sound good!!!

  • as i said. dont let the treehugger busy bodies see you, they will form a lobby group and ban it. meanwhile terrorists are destroying the world..its all about priorities.

  • that sounds great, dont let the tree huggers hear it, they will try and ban everything (as usual)

  • Actually if a treehugger like me hears this he'll die of envy. as for banning everything, as your great great grandchildren breath in a healthy dose of air they'll be thinking how fortunate we had tree huggers back in the 20th and 21st century.

  • there are so few 2t that it would be better to ban 4t.

  • ban neither. if all 2strokers put out as much smoke as mine(plural) I would think we should do something to encourage more 4strokers. however, you can only ride one bike at a time. vintage strokers don't need to be banned they're not getting more in quantity, they're getting fewer and fewer every day.

  • MMMMMMMM Smells good mate, Speilberg himself could not have done better
