Play the game first.

With his armor (P-99M Suit? Sth like that) you can pass through anomalies with almost zero damage... well, as long as the suit is at its best. Then you can sell it and start gathering money for a new one with the old good stalker suit.

Just like real life, you have to think about your capabilities and strategies as much as possible before taking on a mission or going into a new area! That's what I love about the STALKER games. You have to think as much as you shoot! In most games (especially console to PC or just console) you just shoot and there's little thinking!

@grineti5 you'll be stuck with just a pistol and shotgun as your main weapons unless you stay in the Cordon looting bodies for a good few hours. Just stick with them, and learn how to use them effectively.

Trust me, a shotgun will be your best friend in Lab X18 when you run out of other ammo!

i had an annoying bug on this part.. when i got through the tunnel i quicksaved and then got killed by zombies and when i reloaded the save.. he comes through the tunnel but then just stands there looking back into the tunnel... i tried everything i could think of to make him work but it just wasnt happening... and then in the OL mod he walks right into an anomoly -.- so i just give up on him now

First time I played this game, I'd come over here on the "find the family rifle" quest, and couldn't figure out why people were shooting me. This threw me into Kill Em All mode, and I accidentally gave Krugov a shotgun blast to the face. *sigh*

Bleh, why haven't you picked up the fast shooting AK47/2 yet? Right now I have a Thunder "5.45", unique item (it shoots the same rounds as your AK47/2, and is MUCH better).

I think that I went there a bit too early. Now I've played the game through and have thought to play it again.

I liked the AK becouse there weren't lack of ammo at that part of the game. Few moments after this I had about 1000 ammo.

lawl, you shoulda grabbed the TR103, (or hwatever it is) like all the mercs use it so theresa bunch of ammo and its wayyyyy better than the AK. plus when i was coming back there were some guys who convienently had scopes for me to use XD

Bullshit, the AK is way better then the TRs 103. The ammo is much more common, and you can have a scope that's common on it, and you can get one that shoots really fast. More accurate it seems, too.

nah, the TRs 103 is more accurate when it has ascope as well, if you finish leading him there, go get the eco suit, and come back,t herell be some mercs with TR 103s with scopes in the big builidng under construction

well i tried to do that but when i tried to kill the freedom it was a bug and when i tried to kill duty who are going to kill the freedom it was a bug there too. and when i where at the chernobyl powerplant when i just tried to go in i saved and then i tried to load but it said that i diden had a save so i made a new game so here i am i need to play the whole game again =D. That scope should fit with that rifle. Now I have sniper rifles and other rifles. Had to say goodbye for this weapon. Got jammed too many times.

U forgot to get the modified desert eagle from that subway near the position of the doctor (wherer u shoot the mercs) u must go down jump from wreck to wreck and u will find a container with a dead guy inside and a mod eagle (it can shoot sniper ammo really powerfull^^)

and ther is also a easteregg, the guy u take it off is Gordon Freeman^^(can see it in ur PDA than) if u dont know him hes the hero from Half Life 1 and 2, really funny stuff what is about him in the PDA!

I hat obakans they are too ugly i still prefer the AK47 (the modified one + scope and grenade launcher attached) BUT u need AP ammo later than its pretty good and i like AK´s so i still use it even if i already have a FN2000 and a G36 but than its getting a bit boring because u kill everybody with 1 headshot^^

@cowieScoTLAND In almost thebeggining of the game, when you have to go to Dark Valley for the X18, when you just enter Dark Valley from the Garbage, you'll see a guy from duty.Help him to free the hostage and then he'll give you a scope.
