just a little under 50 volts-thats is a VERY low slung high voltage power line tho-closest to the ground of any that i have seen.i was quite surprised to see that kind of voltage-if you live near any HV power lines pls try it and post your findings as a response.
the problem with power lines is that the 50/60 Hz is near the frequencies of the human body. Hard to say what the results could be due to proximity. The EM field may or may not be dangerous... the law of squares and current through the wires will dictate your theft rate. Imagine the current is negligible.
The advantage to this energy is it is 24/7 not like solar panels. I do wonder if it would be considered stealing as it may cause a greater load.. on the lines as in inductor...
=D, woah, well ive got a idea, get a anetenna and a bigish project box, have a bridge rectifier and some sla batterys in there, and just sit it next to the power lines, maybe there would be a way of calculateing how long it takes to charge.
oh btw why do batterys in a battery pack not reverse charge when they are discharged / charged?
ah, the sound of bell birds in the background...nice..
we were just talking about double headed calfs and one has turned up here in ireland, and the only other i saw was in nsw on a pub wall, said to have been living under the high tension wires, so be careful, one headed mescal is enough thanks
Now if you showed that to the authorities they would claim some foolishness like it was faked or some weird anomlie tht doesn't usly happen or some such.
was that 50v or 500mV. some times they switch to mV when its a small P Diff.

Amazing..
I keep learning very interesting things that open my mind even more, Thank you for that.

Thats pretty amazing man!, you need to plant some copper plates and run it to a battery bank :D

Some people used to burry a drum witha coil of wire in it under the power lines to get free power.

does that work well?

make me want to be by the powerlines

yeah wouldnt take much to rectify and dump into batteries-although that would be construed as stealing power.
the line is very low to the ground,so probably an abnormally high reading.
kind of wishing i took a ground stake along too, even without it tho my body would have been acting as a capacity to gound.

that was neat bro i never seen a demonstration like that so simple and revealing,,
