@drunkendan i've always hated family guy ever since it started. all my friends love it but I've just never understood its appeal. Its just one forgettable throwaway gag after the other that usually has nothing to do with the plot whatsoever. admittedly the new simpsons episodes are poor aswell but the first 10-12 series were simply sublime.

@IpswichTilliDie1 actually watching the old seasons the really old ones are really badly paced. The old family guy eps had cut away gags but they didn't take over the entire episode like seasons after it's revival. Funny thing the cut away gags are ripped off of The Critic which did them much better and it actually pertained to the plot and not just pop culture BS
