@caleroma100 Not really sure what to say. Mine seems to stay in tune fairly well. I'm using the factory gibson strings. If the neck is not bowing, tuners and the bigsby seem to be working OK, it might have to do with weather changes or something with your set up. If you have changed strings to the original specs -maybe take it in to a reputable repair shop to have them take a look.
superb stuff, really enjoyed listening to this! what amp/effects sttings are you using? as you know i've got a swingster myself but itdon't sound sweet and cool like this! i know a lot of tone comes from the fingers and you sure got that, it's something i'll have to work on but I WANT THAT SOUND!!! lol
@MrEpiphoneplayer Secret to the sound is the guitar and pick-ups. I also found it sounds a lot better recording with a decent microphone (ShureSM57,1.5 inch from the center of the speaker). Spanky/chimy treble sound comes from setting the neck pick up as a humbucker (pot up) and the bridge as a single coil (pot down) . Cheap Fender Rumble 25 Bass amp, little reverb from a Digitech Digiverb pedal, very cheap Danelectro BLT Slap Back Echo Pedal - gives it pop, bass amp gives the growl.
Would not suggest buying the Rumble 25 Amp. There is an electronics problem that many people note that you sometimes get a buzzing distorted sound with very low bass frequencies, it comes and goes and seems to be linked to appliances (washers, dryers, fridge) in the house with motors etc, but not sure about that.
Still looking to sound like Brian Setzer but not going to happen with my talent or my cheap gear.
@SeadartVSG thanks for the reply my friend, will be on the lookout for a decent amp soon now! mind you had a bloody accident at work on wed and severed the nerve in my left hand middle finger,(angle grinder wheel exploded!)operation on monday and hoping all will be ok!
@Dracapalley Thanks for the kind comments, this is a work in progress. A piece with Rythym, Lead and bass is in the works. Just messing around learning how to record.
Hey Bud, I am having some difficulty keeping my swingster in tune, any suggestions? any reccomendations on strings? thank you!
