Xcellerator is a much better ride than Kingda Ka. Height/speed means little.

Yes, and I have been on Top Thrill Dragster as well, Xcellerator is the best of the 3 rides. Quicker acceleration, more airtime over the tophat.

This show aired back in 2002/2003, when Xcelerator first opened.

Linkenheimer was talking specifically about just launched Intamins, but you are still correct, because Intamin had built Superman The Escape back in the late 90's

im pretty sure he meant, because it was the first hydraulic coaster to ever be built, which is actually a great acheivement. so really xcelerator was the beginning of hydraulic launch coasters (TTD, KK, storm runner, stealth, so on so forth
