I comend him, that was a big step and one of the hardest to quit, I know first hand. i am a recovering addict , I had 12 yrsclean and sober until I got hurt now ten yrs I have been on Oxys and when the pharmacy is out so am I and I barely make it thru that time period of withdrawal. I have tried quitting but I end up wanting to just die, I cant afford to do the weissman treatment so I just take my meds like i am suppose to and live one day at a time, cheers to you son for getting clean. b safe

I'm immensely proud of him. Most people do not have that kind of success getting clean the first time. I think maybe it easier if you start hardcore young. Older people who bloom into drugs and alcohol late seem to never make it back. Prolly because you feel like you have less to look forward to being older and its more humiliating.
