Hey Everybody! I have just released my new electronic album “Sub-Zero” which is heavily inspired by the world and music of the Alone In The Dark series. If you're interested you can listen to the full album on my youtube channel, as well as download the album for free!
@TLKGuitarMan No, I'd rather have just bought a nintendo or sega console. Anything that actually played a nice large selection of games. Because I like my consoles to have longevity.
@Deidaaraartisabang Yeah I remember playing the game as the sun sets down gently. I get into the game, when I come to realize.. IM ALONE IN THE DARK!!!
lololololololololi couldnt stop laughing at it... everything about it looks funny and glitchy. man games came along way... but they couldnt have without great classicsl ike this.
@Resimaster I think you mean the survival horror we knew in the 90's back when the games were about true horrors, not the 3rd person shooters disguising themselves as horror games that we see today
@Miyakolover Yeah, I considor the original Resident Evils and Silent Hills to be the pinacle of survival horror. The new ones arent even good at disguising it! haha
@Miyakolover Exactly. Thats because the majority of gamers today just want to play Call of Duty repeatedly so they can shoot their mates online over, and over, and over again.
@Resimaster I have nothing against shooters personally, but don't we have enough already? I mean we have CoD sequels, Halo sequels, Gears sequels, Homefront, Killzone, Crysis, Medal of Honor, Bulletstorm, Vanquish, and not only that, many games like SH and RE are copying that free aim mode and melle attacks from these games while they shouldn't, problem is that people nowadays just love war and shooters sell, that's why we don't get many unique or different games nowadays
@Resimaster totally agree. i have this game to thank for my affinity for 3rd person survival horror. i scared myself shitless playing this on my 3DO back in the day. however i never finished it b/c i got caught in a bathroom one time, got killed by a zombie and kept respawning with low health in the same spot and dying immediately. pity. maybe if my 3DO still worked i'd revisit it.
This was a decent port. The framerate was sluggish compared to the PC version, but it was at least tolerable, especially with the remixed music added to enhance the experience. Possibly one of the few good reasons to own a 3DO these days.
Better than the 2008 version, i mean A.I.T.D. (5), I just wisht they bring this one back with option of original and updated graphics ,gameplay and music (keep the music the same as well) that would be awesome , the story and the music in this one is way better than 2008 game, i also like it when there is a choice between two characters.
i cant beleive interplay went bust when they had games like this, casper, earthworm jim and ofcourse the fallout series on their books i mean come on all there games where great how did they go bust,oh well there coming back now
Anyone know the name of infograms game where you start of seeing this girl getting burned and an axe come into a guys window and then he realise he must find this girl by going to a museum and then he travels back in time.
ah i remember this when i was really young i was really scared i can remember my brother didnt know how to stop the 1st purple thing that comes through the window we ran through the house falling through the floor and all we gave up lol
Oh man I remember this game! It was by far (one of) the best games on the 3DO system (The very first Need for Speed was good too).
I found a used copy of this game (or something simalar) in a second hand store once. Only it was the Japanese version. I think it was called Dr. Houzer or something. I don't remember what I ever did with that game now.
You looking at the grandfather of survival horror here folks. This game is one of the main reasons why games like Resident Evil, Silent Hill and other great survival horror games exist today, bow down!
sigh i remember sinking many hours into this game.however, ''grandfather '' huh, .maniac mansion holds that title, though this game redefined the genre.
Jeeze...i Remebere the NIGHTMARES this game gave me as a kid, but not just from the Scary Music or the like, but the game play! Like accidently saving in the cave, when you DIDN'T unlock the damned basment door when the bridge fell.. URG! So many hours...
I did EVERYTHING, but ran out of oil before reaching the big tree; it took me weeks before I realized how to beat the game, and I had to do everything again :(

just found my old 3do system and 2 games did a search for top 3do games this was #2, so any of you out there agree? think its worth finding on flee-bay?
I believe you can still use the separate pieces to active the secret entrance to the catacombs, but it can't be used anymore as a full weapon for sure.
I need help tryin to find a game thats on PC. Its quite old cus i played it as a kid.
At the start you find the key to the haunted house inside a pumpkin i think. then you go inside and if you go into a certain room there if a dinner party and a vampire kinda gets you.
This game used to scare me on the 3DO! It's comical how slow the controls are now but this game led the way for Resident Evil as RE perfected this idea.
Wierd, the PC version has this music on the audio CD, but when youre playing it, the music sounds a lot crappier. The music on the audio CD sounds just like this.
@crims0nf0rtune There are two PC versions actually, the floppy disk version and the CD-ROM version. The CD-ROM version uses the same audio CD music as this 3DO version (since it was converted from the PC CD-ROM version), while the floppy versoin, which is the original, uses synth music. This must be what you call "crappier" music.
Does a demo of this game come with Out of this World because I got one and didn't know it at first and would spend hours tring to pass the first room because it wouldn't let you go down the stairs.
Awsome, awsome, awsome game. My sis and I used to play it all the time trying to get farther and farther into the game, finally beating it. We were so excited as we neared the end after months of play.
3DO was ahead way before it time i feel sorry that we chose 2d games for a long time, because 3do came out in 1990. We would have been in a lot better game console by now, if 3do would lower the price from $700 to $200 because i came acorres one of theses console when i got my frist playstation and I can't tell the diffent .If you cant play Teken one and see what I mean okay .

Heh heh, man...I thought these graphics were incredible back in the day.
It's too bad that Alone in the Dark made its debut on a failed gaming system - that really hurt its popularity, allowing Playstation's Resident Evil to swoop in and claim the title of Survival Horror king.
