u get the chain saw from the second boss. a clown named adam in the wonderland plaza and once u kill him u get his mini chain saw. and yes it runs out unless u get a book which makes weapons stay for 3x longer :)

You can get certain books which results in certain weapons becoming 3x more durable. The purple block represents a book that is compatible with making the weapon 3x more stronger. He has 3 purple blocks, therefore meaning he has 3 books - and adds up to a total of 27x stronger. There are a few books around the mall in, of course, bookstores, which do certain enhancements on different items. Do a search around the Internet and you should find what each book does.

The chainsaw is the one from adam the clown. there are 3 books that each multiply it's lifespan by 3, which adds up to about 27x its original lifespan... and, he's lvl 50, which lets him run faster... yeah.....
