when you lift that much weight its allways good to get a phisical every 6 months. dont wait untell your c7 disck pops out and you cant lift for 2 years.
@Monastication ...yes ..and I am sure if you took them you would be deadlifting 700 for reps too?? Cus I am sure that ...all you have to do is take the drugs them BOOOOM ..you are big and strong?? You jack ass
dude dont listen to these haters. that looks like good form to me. i use exact same form and my deadlift has gone from 235 to 315 in a month. keep up the good work man, ur an inspiration to anyone who knows what committment is all about.
I think the weight attracts attention to the weight lol.
And yes, studies have proven more than once that yelling during the point where the most force is needed gives you from 10-15% more strength. It's the adrenaline, which many lifters can release on command.
Also, it helps psyche you up for the heavy weight. If you walk up to it thinkin, "hey i think my biceps are like totally like bigger than his, totally. i better check the mirror" you'll get fucked in the ass.
Crazy mofo - that man has a right to yell in the gym. Not to rain on the parade but the only thing that would be more impressive is a double overhand grip.
roberto347: damn man, so sorry for you, you can't imagine your self lifting without a belt or straps?, i know this guy, he's a STRONGMAN competitor, he trains all year to be able to do that
Shocking! May he be struck down by a thunderbolt in expiation for having the hubris to be stronger and more tenacious than any "8-12 slow and controlled reps" wussies will ever be!
That's actually pretty damn good for your age and weight. You put on some weight and keep your form strict and you'll be blowing past this guy in no time!
Shit what do you do to train for that strength?? That's mad grip being able to do that no straps. Do you work grip in addition to your normal workouts? Only thing I could say is the hips seem kinda high.
No one deadlifts 800 pounds with "bad form." Obviously what this guy is doing works for him if he's been able to train long enough to work up to those numbers without injuries.
wasn't saying he had bad form actually, just saying maybe he could lift even more with increased quad involvement in the lift, whats wrong involving more big muscle groups and increasing poundage put up? Veterans of powerlifting are always striving to perfect their form, not just beginners, better form with same strength = increased total.
Impressive weight, and not that your form is bad or that i can lift as much, just getting back to about 600 in my Dl after many years of not training, but u look more like you are doing a Romanian DL, you could prob get more poundage if u let your hips get lower and drive more out of the bottom of the lift, but damn strong lifting man!
I don't understand the critics. The man just picked up 700 lbs of deadweight off the ground--seven times; and people say "Ah, that was nothing", or "steroids", or "bad form", or whatever. It takes a lot of deadlifting; a great deal of hard work over time to be able to reach that plateau. If you can lift that much--four times at that--then there's no argument: you are a strong boy and that's it. Great effort man--the deadlift is my favorite exercise.
thats true and its pretty impressive but people are just trying to tell him that hes doing it wrong.. you can make up some dumb excuse and say we're jealous or we're just haters but the reality is we're just trying to tell him that one day his back is going to be fucked up real good if he keeps his form the way it is
good form thats what sort, seriously this is heavy weight this guy knows what he's doing. Theres absolutely nothing wrong with his form his back is straight and not hunched over so why are you even questioning his form?
Probably 3-5 reps is the best rep range 4 that. Sets probably 2-5 working sets (not including warmups) depending on how heavy the top end set is going to be, the heavier u go the less working sets you do... u might actually do more warmups tho. Eg if you are working up to a heavy triple on your top end sets, you might do a couple of singles as you work your way up... these r warmups coz even tho u can do more than one rep you just do a single to save yourself 4 the working sets.
nice lifts brother ..real weight for reps..wats ur max?? must be over 800..TRAIN INSANE..stay strong and ignore thse haters who will never be on ur level!! bignate
you want a video of me lifting? Ok i'll give you one. A youtube account name doesn't define a person, I'm an aspiring body builder...give me your email address and i'll send you a picture of my jacked self
yeah eventually with horrible form like yours since your arching back looks like a rainbow...you'll be stuck on a couch too, soon enough...until then have a nice time gloating your "skills" on lifting heavy weight you blockhead.
Thank u... so yr admitting that u r a geeky kid playing video games on his couch....i didnt mention the couch but you admitted by sayin ill be stuck on a couch "too". Looks like i hit a raw nerve coz u couldnt refute my other points. Anway i'll continue 2 lift heavy & get stronger & you keep playing your video games. At least you can live vicariously through those video games pretending to be a good fighter much the same as you live vicariously here pretending 2 kno something about training.
Bad form... what, according to your latest issue of "Fitness RX" or according to another youtube expert like yourself who has no videos of his own training uploaded. Even so... could u lift it...even with "bad form"? Stick to playing video games kid. ;)
CBA20061, im a strongman from UK and your phenominal man! fuck bvillechupacabra dooche, hes some sort of ass-taking gay wad means fitness 50lb deadlifter faget, your great man, a true inspiration, im also a personal trainer have been since 2000, and youve got fantastic form!
Thanks for the comments... yes your description of bvillechupacabra seems accurate from what i can gather. But we should keep in mind that he is a CERTIFIED trainer at GOODLIFE. I emailed your fellow countryman Andy Bolton asking him for some tips on my form and he said my form was fine. But now this bvillechupacabra has told me otherwise. Who should i listen to? ... Andy Bolton ...
Thank u 4 your concern. U r obviously quite an expert. U must b an avid reader of "Mens Fitness" or sum other hardcore publication like that. Pushing your body 2 its absolute strength potential is inherently risky, if you want no risk then don't push the limits & stay small/weak the rest of your life. It might interest u to know that some of the strongest deadlifters in the world use a "rounded back" when they deadlift, guess they too need to train longer n could also use your expert advice.
I was never a fan of Mens Health but I've been a certified trainer at Goodlife fitness for 2 years and never heard such a stupid comment. Thats fine if others have their back rounded when they deadlift, let them fuck their backs up. The fact is when you deadlift with your back rounded your placing way too much stress on your spinal discs leading to a variety of problems, especially with that amount of weight. But I guess your just pushing the limits right? Happy Training
WOW.... i dont know what to say... a CERTIFIED trainer at GOODLIFE for 2 years!... i bet they dont just give that 2 anyone, even if they look like they have never touched a weight in their life. I guess with all that real world experience you have & that certificate you must be huge and strong. Please save your unsolicited advice for anyone stupid enough to pay for it. Have a nice day :)
I train like a bodybuilder so probably more for size... but i always try to get stronger tho as i belive there is some correlation between size n strength, at least what i have found is that heavy weights is the best way to gain size thickness n density. My training is similar to the high intensity Yates style when it comes to the heavy basics except i probably do slightly more volume on isolation movements as i belive overtraining is less likely on the smaller isolation movements.
Thanks 4 the comment. To answer your question i dont really compete, but i did once enter a bench comp which was held at a bodybuilding show i was watching. Wasnt planned just entered on the spot. I also once eneted a deadlift comp in a similar fashion. This is going back about 6-7 years though.
There is an official deadlift comp coming up next week which i was thinking of entering. My deadlift has actually progressed since this vid was taken. Tested my 1RM last week (which i never usually do on anything) just to see where i was at. I hit a 790 lb single after doing 780,770,735 & 680 plus some lighter warm up repping sets. Looking forward to break that magic 800 lb barrier soon.
Thanks, I enetered that comp (vid is up). Ive never gone even close to a single on squat, done 6 plates a side (585) for 8 good deep reps before and of couse thats with no suit (ive been told the squat suit can add a fair bit). I will be taking a couple of weeks off training as i have had no time off all year n kinda feelin burnt out, but ill definately get some more vids up once i get back into full swing.
