i could roll up a "hank" of paracord the same liength in thirty seconds this is too time consumeing...well i guess you could do it to pass time on a boreing day haha
i think any way of storing your cordage where it deploys quickly, without tangling, is definitely worth the effort and time. Especially if, like me, it's stored for emergency use. Use it once and that's pretty much it. Imagine, with this method, your buddy or backpack falls off a ledge, you undo enough cordage to swing easily, and it sails over to where you need it without getting tangled or caught on obstacles. That one thing make it worth the time. What else you gonna do around a fire?
@zreiser i know you commented 2 months ago but theres a parcaord fast rope also just to let you know and its much faster, again you probably found that out by know.... if you havent just type in youtube how to make a parcaord fast rope i made 2 today
This is not a good method to use to store cordage that will be accessed time and time again. however it's a great method for backpackers who are looking for any way to shave off a couple of ounces from their pack and want a length of cordage readily accessible should the need arise. I always have a hundred feet of cord in my bag for emergencies.
@Kingmouse38 It just takes forever to store this way. In the video, I mentioned that for 100 ft. of paracord it took me a little over an hour. If you have the time it's great though.
@ITStactical Thank You. I did here you say that. But i was not sure that was why you did not like it, But i Do Understand now. Thanks again for your good Information, Keep up the Good Vidoes, Always look forward to more.
Its similar to the sageo knot on my samuraiswords

In other words, it's not for paracord you're working with, but for more long-term storage, like in a pack or BOB...

Tying this is at most a quarter the time if you are using two hands to tie it, storing the coils over a knee or similar.

Does it deploy easier if you first twist it so that the herringbone pattern is toward the inside of the coil?

I have to agree with you, I would not be a fan of storing cord this way. I wouldn't have the time or patience to do that.
