Nolan: Using special technology you can enter into a collective dream where you and your team invade the subject's metaphorical safe and steal an idea, aka extraction. You can also go into dreams within dreams to plant an idea, aka inception. If you die you go up a level or if are sedated/go too far down you drop into limbo i.e. pure subconscious. Time is slowed on each level and the physics from the upper level are translated down into the dream.
every director has different story to tell you cant say whos better better james cameron or chris nolan or steven speilberg thet are plenty directors out there.
my favourite director is clint easwood every one has a favourie director but never compare directores to directors its just stupid.
@NeoSurya100 Omg are you kidding me here?! Cameron is NOTHING compared to the Nolan brothers, you need to open your eyes ..
Nolan created one of the greatest postmodern films of all time, Memento, and also created some of the greatest features such as Following and The Prestige, BB and TDK, REAL films which is made with a passion and with a creativity like no other. Cameron is a business man, Chris Nolan is an artist.
@gorakaraz1 I am a huge Nolan fan... Cameron is an artist too!!!! Come on... try to watch making of Aliens,Abyss... he is a genius, a great tech person and he also experimented with reverse photography!!! in ALIENS, he used pathbreaking techniques....Nolan is superb, especially MEMENTO and PRESTIGE..please don't comapre these two ...
@NeoSurya100 Cameron, being a college dropout, has significant contribution in developing the FUSION camera... he is one of the great pillars in film industry... and Nolan is not here to work for free...he also means business... in that sense, all directors keep commerce in mind....
@NeoSurya100 Why do you keep talking about the techniques? special effects is not what makes a good film. btw that fusion 3d could ruin the filmindustry for good. This is not a freakin Disneyland ride.
@gorakaraz1 I agree with you that film is not only about sfx.... but many thinks that sfx is an easy job to do... no... it requires lots of gray matter... many directors use sfx... Chris Columbus has used it in Percy Jackson.. still that movie is not so good... sfx should be used with aesthetics... gr8 films WITHOUT sfx exist right from the days of Griffith, Goddard, Bergman, etc... I was just telling that Cameron is not just a businessman as u said....
@gorakaraz1 Terminator 2 used much much less technique than Avatar but that was pathbreaking!!! u can't deny that.... a good aesthetic sense creates such a great script.... as for sfx, even in case of Nolan, MEMENTO is better than DARK KNIGHT but the latter uses more sfx...
If it has no limits, then make a sequel! O.o

He's an awesome storyteller. I just wish he would loosen up on camera, he comes off a bit stiff and conceited.
tramwreck 1 year ago
@tramwreck Rubbish, he doesn't come off conceited at all, he seems very low-key and not at all like some loud hollywood egomaniac
