I have been luccky enough to see this performed on three occasions and it everytime I have been completley in awe of this band. In my mind they are the the best band I have had the good fortune to have been alive during the time that they were around. Always came away from the shows feeling good about life,

What an awesome tour this was, like all his tours. I was lucky enough to go to Paris to watch the concert. It was Awesome. I love this song. I miss Clarence too. It was bad time for me I lost my dad to cancer. The music of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band makes life so good. The music lives on for ever.

this is bruce at his top.. nobody gives shows like that. simple stage,no great lightshows or whatever..just great music and a lot of fun...isn't that why you go to a concert?? thats what bruce and his mighty E-street Band gives you the whole evening.

I've seen him more than 30 times and every show is different,but they always give 200%... and that at that age..

"The Rising" wasn't his official campaign song. U2's "City of Blinding Lights" was.

In the 2008 presidential campaign, "The Rising" was first used by John Edwards' campaign. Then Hillary Clinton started using it at the end of rallies. Then when Bruce came out & officially endorsed Obama (what was he thinking?!), his campaign co-opted it as a replacement for the U2 song.

Barcky had never heard of it before the two other campaigns used it first. How original. *rolls eyes*
