You mean it makes a similar sound like a harmonica?

He means that in it makes a different note in each direction. Playing a harmonica, if you blow into it, it plays one note, and if you suck air in it plays another. A diatonic (single action) accordion works the same way. When you pull the bellows out you get a different sound than if you pushed the bellows in, holding down the same key. Oh hey, cool. I always wondered what that meant. I have a beginner/child's accordion that's basically about as wide as my hand that is diatonic. It is kind of tricky to get used to at first.
