in 1979-1985 we had a couple of 750's. One was a 1976 and the other a 78. I found that they'd do okay if you didn't crowd them. If you pushed them too hard, they'd break something. MF is pretty much gone from sw Kansas. It's very rare to see a machine and the dealers are long since out of business or selling something else, so finding parts would be a nightmare. Still, this brings back a lot of memories. Nice vid.
@AJ67901 Here in Southen Alberta Canada, parts are still quite available, but also quite expensive...I still run Masseys... An 860 massey is a pretty good sized machine and here I can gettem for about $15000.00 to $20000.00 and have a good machine that'll work.... Hell of a lot better than 2 or $300000.00 to do the same job!!!
@TheFarmerfitz MF has always had a big presence in Canada. As I recall the Canadian Govt. bailed them out in the early 80's and forced them to develop the 850. I see a few MF tractors here, but they are now under the AGCO umbrella if I'm not mistaken?
I drove my first 750 when i was 12 and 13 years later we have 2x 750's, 1x 760 which my dad drives, and an 865 which i now drive.
Love the simplicity of the machines.
2009 harvest was the first time in 13 years that i contract drove a New Holland CR9080, and as much as it was nice, the flamin computers and GPS drove me up the wall. Good Video by the way!
wow what a site, saw the right up in the classic tractor mag on you guys i think, great effort.....hmm ya looking for drivers in coming years, or ya done it, now hanging up the boots?
You guys still use those combines to custom harvest?

I love this because I have owned two MF 750's and they were the best cleaning machines I have ever owned. I sure do miss mine
