This was the first song I heard from Shadows Fall and immediately fell in love with them. Undoubtedly my fave band of the "newer" metal guys, even though they've been around now for like 10 years. If you don't believe me, search shadows fall fear will drag you down and listen to THAT stepping outside the circle. The raw version has BLATANT differences in the vocals, drums, and guitars. Hell, evn some of the melodies are different.
