Not too many people know that DDP was a big basketball star in his hometown of Point Pleasant, NJ. It's still a shame the way he was shit on by WWE. The guy had athleticism,charisma, talent, good looks and a very attractive valet. he could have been a big star in the WWE if he could have been DDP and not some mid card guy. I guess looking back it's good he got out when he did instead of putting his body through the beating it would have taken if he was still wrestling.

He had a brilliant setup being introduced as a stalker, then basically became Undertaker's bitch for about 4-5 months, including that embarrassing beatdown at KOTR 01. DDP was a main eventer in WCW that could have easily transitioned to the WWF, but was made into a joke. Other than beating Christian for the EUROPEAN title in the 1st match on WM X8, he was basically jobbing the entire time

@Swype87 I'm with you, i've always said WWE buried DDP, right from the start, the whole Undertakers wife thing was just the start, it was his match with Bob Holly that caused him injury, just for Allapattahgoon's information, WWE never intended to put DDP or any other former WCW wrestler who joined them after the buyout further than mid card.... hell they took Booker T's tittle and he never saw it again till afew years later, took 2years to get a tittle shot only to be dropped by hHh

Awesome video! There may have been trouble backstage over at WCW but what they put on TV was THE best! DDP is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and a big reason for WCW being so damn good. I wish TNA had been as big as it is now back when DDP was there so I could have seen him there.

Nashw ith short hair and Hall in the elvis outfit lol but i'd love to see DDP back one more time... even if its just another short stint like before, i believe he has afew matches left in em, best thing was they let him be him!

he was the original people's champion, they called em the people's champ coz he came through the crowd alot and was so over with the fans, then rock came along and snatched up the whole people's champ thing, but ddp's was purely because he was over from the start & was constantly entering and leaving through the fans, tna did ok with em but i feel wwe screwed em with the whole stalker gimmick, that wasn't the ddp that was 3x world champ, tna allowed him to show us the real ddp one last time
