  • Our government doesn't give a rats ass about the "terror" threat. In fact, they regularly recruit FBI and CIA agents in publications that are run by apologists for the Saudis and other Islamists. Hell, many saw the religious fervor of the mujahideen in Afghanistan (who later made up the Taliban and Al-Q) as a good thing.

Hubris sucks, and so does arrogance.

By the way Boris, have you heard of the Investigative Project on Terrorism?

  • There is no doubt that we, (USA), created an elephant out of a mouse. Enslaving individuals, nations and force them to be "happy and democratic" is an enforced enema. Arrogance is a failure of mind.

    Saty safe.

  • FSB, formerly KGB, is doing exactly what their predecessor did - SPYING, and we let them. The difference is that "democracy" in Russia is recognized by naive governments in the west, versus the "evil emprire" from the 80's. Both Britain and US became the police states with cameras on every corner and bugging citizens' phone calls. Just like in the USSR some years back.

    Greetings.

  • All these "patriot acts" and other invasive, freedom restricting acts on behalf of "saving citizens from terrorists" are far bigger threats to the democratic process than the "terrorist threat" itself.

It's hard for me to fathom why the average citizen can't see that *sigh*

  • You are absolutely correct. The wisdom prevails. Fear is like a leash, it takes you where the "master" wants you to go. Get off the leash of fear; THERE IS NOTHING TO FEAR BUT FEAR ITSELF"

    Stay safe.

  • Nice to see the quote from FDR. At a time when we had something real to fear, he had the wisdom to caution otherwise, knowing that fear is not a good place from which to operate.

Contrast Bush and Co., using manufactured fear to manipulate the people, and seize power.

  • I think political and corporate leaders keep people ratcheted up in a high state of anxiety so the people don't believe they can change anything.

In my book is not the absence of fear--it's the facing of that fear and moving forward even if it's risky.

  • When we face our perceived fears we often find that there really wasn't that much to fear in the first place. It takes guts to stand up for what one believes and anyone who does so has my most sincere respect.

    Stay Safe.

  • Maybe school teachers should talk about the 1933 Reichstag fire, then maybe history won't repeat itself.

  • Im very skeptical on the view of the KBG. As recently also an ex-russian spy Alexander Litvinenko was assasanted here in the Uk by KBG operatives. Im not 100% sure im right on following this topic but I truely believe the KBG is still alive and russia is moving towards something new against the west
