I mean you're free to have your own opinion, but I am a DIE HARD fan of AVP and even I thought Predators was better then this. I mean I love AVP, I even like it more then Alien3 and Alien Resurrection, please don't bash me it's what I like because AVP didn't piss on Aliens, I'm referring to the killing of Newt and Hicks.
Anywho, point being, I love this movie more then anyone and even I thought Predators was better.
@onexero1 Dude, not that it matters because Fox is disregarding the AVPs, but the Weyland in Alien3 (which I pretend didn't happen) was a DESCENDENT of Weyland, I mean duh. Who says Weyland didn't have a son or grandson we didn't know about?
Also it has a lot of features from the comics, such as the Predators marking themselves with the acid blood, using the Queen to breed the Aliens for the hunt, and a Predator teaming up with a human. I read the first comic, I know.
None taken on my part Shelldweller113, I didn't like Aliens much at all either; I watched that film so many times in my youth, everyone was saying it how great it was, yet I didn't like it, it had me thinking that perhaps I was not 'seeing' the film the right way, tried to make the film grow on me, but I never took to it. What was wrong with Aliens? Too much to write here, but I thought it was crap too, so you are not alone :D

@Shelldweller1138 No offence taken. I'm only joking too. I respect other peoples right to have an opinion on something. Film is a very personal thing. I guess our outlooks on the alien franchise are rather different. I'm not the biggest James Cameron fan (not the subtlest director), but I still admire the original ideas he brought to the series. These AVP films pretty much rehash ideas used in 'Alien' and 'Aliens'. You must be looking forward to Prometheus though right? It looks mind blowing.
