  • great advice! :)

  • wow i absoloutely love that setup u got there. home gyms are the best when they are legit like this

  • can you tell me what size eye hooks you used for this? thanks man, gave me some great ideas!

  • Thanks for the video, this helped a lot!

  • Im really jealous of people having equipment at their house. What i usually do is i just go to my friends house where he has equipments.

  • eye hooks is the best idea i've seen. i just wish there was a closer shot of how you bolted the eye hooks into the joists. i'm assuming you drilled holes through the joists for the bolts to hold the eye hooks

  • @sucracristo Thanks for that... yes I pre-drilled the pilot holes prior to twisting the eye hooks into the joists. It works very well for my applications. Good luck!

  • so basically, go out and buy a pull up bar for $20's. . or go out and buy a house with a basement.

  • Brilliant. I never would have thought of attaching carabiners (spring clips) to those eye hooks. I already have a joist mounted chin up bar, but thanks to your carabiner and interchangeable handle idea my bar just got a whole lot more useful. Thanks a ton

  • Great video, thank you for the advice. I like the clips, and also the rock wall attachments.

  • wat ben jij een nerd

  • Super-smart idea, just saved me some time, loot AND it's a better system. Thanks a ton for sharing!

  • Nice video! I really like your idea od putting in some rock climbing grips. I will have to try that. Thanks!

  • Great suggestions, thanks a lot. Very helpful!

  • awesome idea... you just saved me 3 hundred dollars ( kiwi dollars ) thanks mate : )

  • Pretty smart. i like the eye hooks and carbiners. If your doing P90x what are your modifications? for instance wide, narrow or reverse. do you have three eyes across to vary the width? regardless i like it.

  • Hey! Just did my first P90X workout with your setup! Works Great!! Way better then the one in the door and much cheapear!! Hung it out on my patio for the perfect outdoor workout! and no waiting for stuff at the gym!

    Thanks for the great idea!!

  • Awesome ideas!!!

  • How did you add the angle pieces on the side? I couldn't find a thing like that at home depot.

  • @velfarreclubber it looks like he has 1/2 gb 45degree bends, but if you get some plumbers steel pipe, you could easily pull them in a bench vice, just dont pull it to much or the pipe will kink, or even under a car tyre(do this at your own risk and its best to leave extra foot or so on the angled side, when using this method)

  • thanks for the vid :D

  • any ideas if i dont have an unfinished basmet. because all i have to work with is a finished bedroom

  • Thats really cool... Just so you all know, you can also do dips with that setup, which is also a great workout

  • Sometimes the easiest solution is the hardest one to think off, thanks

  • bellice! from prison break

  • Nice clip! Keep them coming.

  • Excellent. I know where to find the eye hooks, but where can I find the cargo straps/suspension straps, the spring clips, the stirrup handles and the rowing attachment?

  • Did You Get The Pipe At A Hardware Store? And What Is The Lenght Of The Pull Up Bar In The Bar

  • great contraption, but i would really like to get a closer look at that, to see how you have your hooks fitted

  • Let me just say that bolting the bar or the eye hooks to the floor joists in my house work fine for me. They easily support my weight (195lbs) and I've trained athletes on them that were 220 and 260lbs with no issues. Basic physics would recommend that you try to get them as close to a wall as possible while still having room to move. However, I cannot guarantee the home construction of everyone's house, so you'll have to be the judge there : )

  • @TodayFitness - thanks for the tip. This is a great info. I wanted to buy a flimsy pull up system but I wanted something specified to what we do. I am an MMA fighter and having something like this build in your gym is awesome. Great stuff.

  • does the first method actually work? I really mean is do the floor joices hold your weight? feed back ASAP if possible:)

  • dude your a genious but i had to laugh at 5:21

  • how can your house hold you up? those wooden things won't break on you? lol

if it holds u, it's deff gunna hold me.

thanks again for the ideas bro, i'm doing that asap for real.

  • I learned a lot man, great ideas. Thanks for posting!

  • The eyehooks and carabiner idea is quiet good/creative. Thanks.

  • Nice video. Do you do dips with straps? And what else would you use the straps for?

  • Personally I'd feel a bit self conscious going to the park and doing all that. Also, isn't the point of this to show you how you can set up a good workout area in the comfort and convenience of your own home. I thought the video was excellent, and will be employing a lot of the tips in my own free-standing set when I eventually get it made.

  • Why waste your time when you can go to a park down the block....

  • Sometimes a homemade chinup bar is the only option. How many people would go to a park and workout if its snowing, or raining outside?

  • That is certainly an option Kidd... Maybe your mommy will give you the money for one ; )

  • @soccerkidd1195 let me know if ur mom can get one for me too while ur at it ;)

  • @soccerkidd1195 can u get ur mom to buy me one?

  • @soccerkidd1195 if you buy one, you still have to hang it, which is actually most of the work and atleast if you build it yourself it should be built to suit its location, unlike store bought ones, were you have to find a place to suit that,

  • @soccerkidd1195 All that money I spend on her, bitch better buy me one too.

  • Great ideas! Thanks.

  • you know i think i hear the washing machine running in the background...

  • LOL... you're lucky you don't hear my wife and daughter yelling or the dog barking : ) Trying to get this place quiet can be a challenge!

  • thanks for the ideas but closeups would be helpful.

  • N ice video... helped me out
