Hi john, great lesson.. just had one question... can u tell me the exact diameter of the string u using. Just want to know whether to use light, extra light etc. to get a bend like that.... I'm finding it quite difficult in the strings i 'm having ..Thanks
Your playing is truly inspirational. After each video of yours I watch, I just have to cross the room to my setup and pick up my tele and play it a bit.
i have a fender mustang 1 that emulates a lot of different models of fender amps. i use the fender 65 twin reverb mostly now but, if you have a suggestion, i can change to another model. i really appreciate your help. it's hard to get help with settings. everyone just says play around with it till you find your sound. lol. thanks.
You want me to go all the way and give my honest opinion? Neither of the tools you have I like. I've never heard an emulating amp sound as good as an original tube model. Save money and get an all-tube amp. How big of an amp do you need? A Twin 65 is huge amp that needs to be cranked way up to get it working. Start with smaller amps: Princeton Reverd, Deluxe Reverb, Vibrolux. The amps with less wattage get a better sound at a low volume. Select a good overdrive pedal too. Let a salesman do it.
@brandedification regarding what the poster said you don't need to put down an insane amount of money for a decent tube amp. look at the low watt tube amps releases over the last few years... like the fender vibro champ xd etc. (the onboard effects are crap but you can get some good tones out of them). regarding your guitar, the only thing that matters is if you like how it sounds and feels... i've seen people play epiphones and squiers and impress me more than people playing $3k.
great job! i'm a beginner and i'm having trouble getting my tone right. i have an epiphone dot and a fender mustang 1 amp that emulates just about any fender amp. can u help me with my guitar and amp settings?
Thanks for posting John. I have a couple of questions regarding your beautiful Telecaster. 1 What color is that? (Name of color) It looks like a mixture of gray with a little green. 2. What pickups are you using? Hopefully you can answer. Keep them great videos coming John. Great Job!

I use Ernie Ball regular lights in the yellow package (46 to 10).

@a1vivekbarunrai
You get used to it. I use 12 gauge for a high E and have no problems bending. That wasn't the case when I first tried to...

Do the 5 positions of the minor pen. scale that you showed in the other video work with any key? Like B minor or C minor? (just for example)
