So they all need to be tapped with the stylus? I was just thinking that maybe it'd be more fun, if you could as well slide between the "frets" with lots of hitboxes coming. But with the same fret coming again after the before, as in green green green, you'd need to tap them. Also, maybe the guitar playing theme is getting a bit old for new games. Of course, it working with the rhythm of the song is great, but can't people think of new ideas for them? Like Audiosurf, which is a great game, btw.

its a homebrew that means you have to download it. It is not released so you will need a card (R4, SuperCard , M3) then put on the root of your card.

The video are beta/internal versions. The menu's are different for the public version. No import and you can only view leaderboard scores when you submit a song.

I know, but i'm kind of sad that you can't view the leaderboard on the public version. That would be pretty cool, since i'm very addicted and if i want to look up the scores i have to look on my computer. I'd love to be able to do that on my ds. Why was that function removed?

I didn't remove the function - I put in the menu item as a placeholder for when I developed it - but time ran out due to other issues on the project, and this was never completed.

It means you didn't install the game properly on your card. /vgh needs to be on the root of your card with all the files & subdirectories included in the zip file.

thank you for the advice but I'm not sure if what you are talking about is what is truly missing or if its the type of card. I'm using a Datel games n music. Do you think the card doesn't let the game work because it doesn't have a 2nd slot card reader . please reply.

5 is suppose to be the highest note.

you go from the right as a low note to a high note on the left when high notes should be on the right and low on the left.

Glad you liked the game. Keep in mind that two people developed this game and we just didn't have time to manually track each song. Instead I developed a tool to automatically track the song. Its not perfect but 75 pretty good songs is better than 10 perfectly tracked ones IMO

I actually made an mp3 version with an earlier beta version - not difficult - but without the master tracks you cannot stop the sound of one instrument. Defining the notes to play has to be done manually (or some new automated method would need to be created).... and lastly - there would be copyright issues.

FYI the mp3's need to be downsampled to 22Khz...

No... works on all cards to date... Make sure the /vgh folder is at the root of your card and you have dldi patched your rom.

It works with tracker formats supported by libmikmod. (s3m, xm, it, mod are the most common formats)

the highest folder on your flashcart... so if your sd card is recognized as "F:" (for example) then you should have F:\vgh

drag and drop the folder with all the stuff in onto where your folders are (nds, video ect) and then drag and drop the video game here nds file into the nds folder, simple and then it takes about 20-40 seconds to load when you click on it

This game looks great, but the note charts don't seem to match with the music. Sometimes when the music goes lower or higher, the notes are going the opposite way. Also sometimes when the music is progressing down a scale, the notes skip too much (sometimes OYG seems like it should be OBY). Nevertheless, this is a great homebrew and I look forward to the release date.

Actually I've been busy making the game ;) The tracked formats are quite unique and a converter would be very difficult (to the tune of near impossible!)... but on the bright side - there are literally tens of thousands of tracked music files out there :)

I may do an MP3 version... I had a fellow interested it at one point and I made a one song demo - but without master tracks - I can't mute the instrument you are playing.. :/ These songs are mod/s3m/xm/it (tracked formats - not midi).

I may add the GH support but.... not sure it will really be fun to play...

The keys work and there is a doubles versus mode (called Red vs Blue) ... maybe I'll throw up a video of that soon...

Undecided.... The Medium difficulty is only 4 bars so you could play that one, otherwise you would need to use the attachment plus a button ... but the real problem is that the screen is not set for holding your ds sideways and its hard to get the note timeing right from that perspective...
