This is one of the best episodes. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how she told her off and loved the way she played the piano. This episode is one of the reason why I love this version of out of all the rest. She was the only one who could stand up to the evil mom without help. The other version the girl couldn't stand up to her or had nothing to show the mom.

This was my favorite part of the entire show when I watched it as a teen... I've been waiting to see this part again, was disappointed with the other interpretations... Go Shancai! FIERCE! Taiwan version of the "piano scene" is the best out of all of them!!

@tabletadieppa Yeah, she does. In the Korean version, she plays a nice melody and partway through starts singing (she has a nice voice). Because she's actually musically literate (where did that come from??), it doesn't quite have the same effect, and she doesn't have the awesome speech Shancai gives. The mother is way more evil (and therefore, better) in the K version tho.

@anrina that's completely true! i love it when the girls stand up for themselves. when shan cai told off the witch i literally jumped out of my chair! even though everybody hates the mom the show wouldn't be the same without her! she adds anxiety and excitement! which is what makes this show so good and addicting! thanks for replying!
