Anyways I read WNW for wrestling info. And everytime i saw smackdowns ratings they were quiet high. So if for 3 weeks they are low, (please tell me were you got that info) then i said that it was PROBS (probably) due to the situation I said. I never once acknowledged the low ratings therefore i never contradicted myself.
@nWoWolfpacTV All speculations. You're making assumptions and frankly, Kurt was one of the top paid guys making $1 million + a year and ultimately it is his decision as to whether he wanted to continue working for them or not, and he chose not to. There are more stories from successful WWE wrestlers in past and present as opposed to those who complain. They are the best at what they do, they get paid well and are made celebrities. Kurt had a chose and he left, he still praises Vince and the WWE
@krazygreen Your correct in saying that its the talents decision if they cant handle the schedule & that is exactly what Angle did (depending on the version you want to believe). Even if it was WWE who made the call the let Angle go I still dont see the point your trying to make? Regardless of who's decison it was for Angle to leave WWE for Angle's health his limited date contract with TNA is best for him & size of arena's he works is irrelevant when you look at bigger picture. Continued.....
@krazygreen Looking at a different perspective from the lower card to mid card guys in WWE who are not making those $1 million+ per year contract & are probably on $75 - $150 thousand they do not have the luxury of being financially secure so in order to keep their spot they pop the pain pills or risk being future endeavoured. Continued.....
@nWoWolfpacTV Right and the mid to lower card guys aren't asked to do as much then the main eventers. The main eventers are the one's that sell out of the arenas, house shows, and merchandise. They're the one's who actively promote the company whether it be for company events or merchandising purposes. The mid card guys have a spot they fill on the roster and are limited in the role they are given. The production values are just as important for the company as the performers.
@krazygreen That is incorrect. How can you say the lower/midcard guys dont work as hard as the Main Event guys? They dont have part time schedules like HBK & Undertaker & get to fly company jet & get time off when ever they please like HHH. They would quite happily main event house shows & sell merchandise if given the opportunity. Are you saying a guy like Christian doesnt work as hard as Edge? The midcarders go on just as many local news shows & promotional events as main eventers.
@nWoWolfpacTV Of course they work hard, they all want to get to the top. That's the idea behind being an independent contractor in a dog eat dog business. If the mid carders want to move up, they need to work harder. Ask Jericho how he felt when he won the unified titles, he clearly stated that he had a bullseye on his back because everyone wanted to take his spot. Well, that's great for the company because it means guys are working harder. It's never a bad thing when the entire roster work hard
@nWoWolfpacTV On the same token, no, I don't think a mid carder works as hard as a legitimate main eventer. No way, that's just a fact. Bret Hart will have more on his plate from a business standpoint then the likes of a Billy Gunn. You know why? Because Bret, for all his talent, worked harder then Billy Gunn and earned his spot at the top. I'm just giving one example, there's plenty to be made. Like I said, there are always created "stars", but they rarely ever hold weight.
@krazygreen Actually i think where both wrong. Some Main Eventers work harder then midcarders (Cena for example is very hard worker from reports) & even though i m a huge fan of his Kevin Nash isnt called Big Lazy for nothing. But at the same time there is a kot midcarders like Christian, MVP, Kingston who work just as hard as the Main Event guy in order to eventually become one. Thats how The Miz done it according to a source i have he was secondl only to Cena in terms of how hard he worked.
@nWoWolfpacTV True, Miz is a hard worker. But Kevin Nash is hardly a slouch. He was a main eventer and world champion in the WWF, former WCW talent who decided to head back South to Turner's broadcasting to further his career with Bischoff and co. I can't blame him, the money was greener then ever and WCW was scorching hot as soon as he took the reigns alongside Hall and Hogan. I miss those days, those were the days man, the MNW, switching back and forth. I was always a WCW mark, but WWF was hot
@krazygreen "There's no unions, no health care and everybody is hired as an independent contractor," Jesse Ventura said in an interview with the Hartford Courant when asked for his opinion on how former WWE CEO Linda McMahon "ran her business" in WWE.
"How do they get away calling me an independent contractor and yet I have to sign an exclusivity contract. I can't work for anyone else. They get around paying Social Security. Why does the government let them off the hook?"
@nWoWolfpacTV I partially agree, but at the same token, Hollywood doesn't care about its celebrities, most corporation don't care about their employees (unless they're turning a profit), wall street will chew you up and spit you out, it's just the nature of the beast when you're dealing with money. Especially when with that money comes fame and notoriety. These guys are aware of all this, yet they still work their asses off to get there and to appease the fans. For that I commend them.
@nWoWolfpacTV Look at TNA and the production values they have. They shoot out of Universal Studios in a sound stage. What I'm basically trying to say is that although the wrestlers are ultimately what it's all about, without Vince, the WWE, the funding behind the company and the production crews, those wrestlers wouldn't look nearly as good as they on our television sets. These guys love what they do, 1 out of 1000 wrestlers will make it in the business, why not celebrate that...(cont)
@nWoWolfpacTV ..as opposed to bringing up the couple of guys who have passed away due to unfortunate circumstances or the guys who are left in the woodwork doing drugs because they were never able to get over anyways. I'd rather remember the likes of my favorite past wrestlers and the joy they brought me growing up and even to this day then to ponder about the negative annotation that wrestling and Vince McMahon are the devil because of a few unfortunate circumstances. Just enjoy the product.
@krazygreen You ask why dont i celebrate the positive instead of negitive & ive already told you why....because you mocked the fact that Kurt Angle now wrestles in smaller arenas for TNA instead of the larger ones for WWE. To which i stated that Angle is better being alive then being dead. So actually i was being positive that Kurt Angle is happy & healthy making a living in TNA (which he actually just stated on Twitter recently). I detect you dont like TNA but like WWE....well im the opposite.
@nWoWolfpacTV I am not questioning your fanship and if it came off that way, my sincere apologies. I always like a good debate, but I would dislike it if someone questioned my loyalty, so if I came off that, I retract my comments. And no no no, I'm a huge TNA fan, or at least was a huge TNA fan. Give me Desmond Wolfe, Dinero, Anderson, MCMG, and Roode over almost any WWE guys. It's just a shame they aren't being utilized to their fullest potential. I don't like the current direction of the co.
@nWoWolfpacTV And yes, I would love for TNA to get out of the cramped iMPACT zone and head out on the road, considerably West, and not those inky dink arenas they have been booking for their recent house shows in small towns in rural America. I'm talking taking arenas that can pack 1000's of fans. Like I said in an earlier post, production value is just as important as the performers themselves. You have to make the show look grand standing, something WCW originated, they were the innovators.
@nWoWolfpacTV Besides, doesn't look like drugged out on pain killers Hardy is very "healthy" in TNA. Maybe they can learn a thing or two from WWE's wellness policy, who to this day helps past wrestlers with problems (Scott Hall is an example). Some guys have died tragically, its ultimately their decision to do what they do, if they can't handle the schedule, they can leave on their own merit. Money, fame, and being on the top isn't easy to come by, when you have it, you don't want to lose it.
@krazygreen Its fair to say Kurt Angle in WWE was not healthy - from his neck injurys which lead to atrophy, steroid abuse & his addiction to painkillers. So my assumption that Angle was the next wrestler to die early is valid. I replied to your comment about Angle going from large to small arena's because i found to be in a mocking tone. My point in my original comment was Angle is better off working to smaller arena's being healthy then the larger arena's not being healthy. Continued.....
@krazygreen Also SAVE the bullshit on how WWE treats its talent like gold becuase if that the case they would not label them independant contractors so hat they dont have to offer them the benefits of healthcare & pensions etc. In my opinion its more of a public relations initiative that WWE has only JUST RECENTLY started to offer former talent health. I will praise WWE for cleaning up their company but they are from perfect. I renmeber when they fired Test while he recovered from neck surgery.
@nWoWolfpacTV So what's the problem with being an independant contractor? Since when was it frowed upon to be self made? Because that's what the hardest workers are, self made men who battled their way to the top. You're always going to have your occassional dud, ala Shaemus, Swagger, etc. winning the gold when not deserved, but even then, the whole point is to build your own brand, expose that brand, and ultimately make a name for yourself through TV, house shows, merchandising, and apperances.
@krazygreen Seriously? SERIOUSLY? Now im going to be honest & say due to the verbiage you use & the knowledge you posess you perhaps the most intelligent wrestling fan i have conversed with on YT so its quite boggling that you dont know why a WWE wrestler being labeled an independant contractor is a problem for many within the industry & also people not in the industry. Are you not subscibed to PW Torch/Wrestling Observer where this topic has been covered many times & will continue to do so?
@nWoWolfpacTV I get your point, they don't get benefits, they don't receive retirement pensions, there are no IRA's or company stock shares or liability if something goes wrong, but, from a company standpoint, you have to understand that the WWE almost always bears responsibility in the eyes of public perception when a wrestler dies due to drug abuse or steroid allegation. However being an independent contractor also means you can create your own revenue w/o being constrained to stready salary.
@krazygreen Another problem about being labled an independant contractor in WWE is that talent can not go out & do other ventures likes movies, music etc without permission & they also cannt work for other wrestling organisations. You must be familiar with Jesse Ventura & even he says its wrong. TNA label its talent independant contractors aswell but they alow talent to work for ROH, PWG & other indies as long as it isnt televised & they allows talent to do any new ventures they choose.
@nWoWolfpacTV Yes I'm aware, but the WWE is a public company, there are viable shareholders who invest into the company with hopes of a return. They can't have their top performers, or any for that matter, going out and venturing into businesses that aren't going to somehow someway benefit the WWE. It's just the way it is with any public entity or corporation. Eventually, some of them will venture into Hollywood, some will stay loyal to their original ticket to fame, it depends on the person.
@krazygreen I understand that WWE doesnt want its talent venturing into other businesses however if thats the case they should be labled employees not independant contractors. WWE is looking out for the best intrest of the company not the talent in my opinion due their their classification of talent.
@nWoWolfpacTV The more you draw, the harder you work, the more you'll make. It gives the performers incentive to work harder. It was different in WCW, everything was guaranteed. That mentality left performers being lazy in the ring, getting injured and sitting out for months on end, not giving their all, assuming roles only for the purpose of collecting their checks. In my opinion, that's more a negative then allowing these guys to work hard to move up. When you become a viable draw, you cash in
@nWoWolfpacTV I post more or less on Wrestlingforum, but I'm a lurker at PW mainly for their news. I'm a big fan, and I can definitely see that you are as well.
@krazygreen I forgot to add to my comment about lower to midcaard level guys who are probably on downside guarantees of 75k - 150k that alot of what they earn goes on hotel accommodation, rental cars & food on the road. The point being like ive already said when you dont have another job to go to, you have a family to support etc its not just as easy as walking away when you have a drug problem like so many guys have had.
@nWoWolfpacTV I'm not going to disagree with you in the sense that the WWE has a rough history in terms of its "wellness policy". No doubt in my mind they've had a rocky past in that regard but have done their part in trying to better the business in ways that would have been scoffed upon years ago. I still think that ultimately, it is the performer's decision as to whether or not they want to live the lifestyle and the perks that come with it.
I never liked how the "U SUCK" chants directed towards Kurt when he was face. like when he was heel i didnt care but as a face and the crowd still chanting "U SUCK" & making it seem like a good thing was stupid to me and it was more annoying then the "What" chants by Austin even though i didnt mind those as much. But i was with WGTT in this time cause benjamin was my favirote wrestler anyways and i liked Haas too so guess it didnt matter
@Rebekah270984 This was during a time where Vince McMahon fired Hulk Hogan and didn't want him back, so Hogan created the character Mr. America, and denied that he was Hulk and Vince couldn't do anything about it.
if i remenber well when hogan was mr amereca was a boy he name was zack a i think he los a leg cuz cancer and whe was able to do a mortal jum but letter i has know anything about that boy
I remember watching Smackdown every Saturday morning. This was the glory days of when WWE Smackdown was way better than Raw. These days, both are awful.
steph and eric fightin for their shows...ahh,the good ole times, whn the rosters were fully loaded...now raw, smackdown and this nxt shit combined duznt have a roster big enuf t match wid smackdown alone back then....they've got like 50 or 60 guys, that too when u include all the ass-wipes like the announcers and stuff...back then, smackdown had atleast alot of active superstars...
I remember the first time when I seen Kurt Angle wrestle live at smackdown, I started crying lol I was so happy, I didnt even chant you suck i as just screaming and yelling omg omg its kurt angle omg!!

Like I said, there are always created "stars", but they rarely ever hold weight.
krazygreen 1 year ago
@krazygreen Actually i think where both wrong. Some Main Eventers work harder then midcarders (Cena for example is very hard worker from reports) & even though i m a huge fan of his Kevin Nash isnt called Big Lazy for nothing. But at the same time there is a kot midcarders like Christian, MVP, Kingston who work just as hard as the Main Event guy in order to eventually become one. Thats how The Miz done it according to a source i have he was secondl only to Cena in terms of how hard he worked.
nWoWolfpacTV 1 year ago

For that I commend them.
krazygreen 1 year ago
@nWoWolfpacTV Look at TNA and the production values they have. They shoot out of Universal Studios in a sound stage. What I'm basically trying to say is that although the wrestlers are ultimately what it's all about, without Vince, the WWE, the funding behind the company and the production crews, those wrestlers wouldn't look nearly as good as they on our television sets. These guys love what they do, 1 out of 1000 wrestlers will make it in the business, why not celebrate that...(cont)
krazygreen 1 year ago
@nWoWolfpacTV ..as opposed to bringing up the couple of guys who have passed away due to unfortunate circumstances or the guys who are left in the woodwork doing drugs because they were never able to get over anyways. I'd rather remember the likes of my favorite past wrestlers and the joy they brought me growing up and even to this day then to ponder about the negative annotation that wrestling and Vince McMahon are the devil because of a few unfortunate circumstances. Just enjoy the product.
krazygreen 1 year ago

I don't like the current direction of the co.
krazygreen 1 year ago
@nWoWolfpacTV And yes, I would love for TNA to get out of the cramped iMPACT zone and head out on the road, considerably West, and not those inky dink arenas they have been booking for their recent house shows in small towns in rural America. I'm talking taking arenas that can pack 1000's of fans. Like I said in an earlier post, production value is just as important as the performers themselves. You have to make the show look grand standing, something WCW originated, they were the innovators.
krazygreen 1 year ago
@nWoWolfpacTV Besides, doesn't look like drugged out on pain killers Hardy is very "healthy" in TNA. Maybe they can learn a thing or two from WWE's wellness policy, who to this day helps past wrestlers with problems (Scott Hall is an example). Some guys have died tragically, its ultimately their decision to do what they do, if they can't handle the schedule, they can leave on their own merit. Money, fame, and being on the top isn't easy to come by, when you have it, you don't want to lose it.
krazygreen 1 year ago
@krazygreen Its fair to say Kurt Angle in WWE was not healthy - from his neck injurys which lead to atrophy, steroid abuse & his addiction to painkillers. So my assumption that Angle was the next wrestler to die early is valid. I replied to your comment about Angle going from large to small arena's because i found to be in a mocking tone. My point in my original comment was Angle is better off working to smaller arena's being healthy then the larger arena's not being healthy. Continued.....
nWoWolfpacTV 1 year ago
@krazygreen Also SAVE the bullshit on how WWE treats its talent like gold becuase if that the case they would not label them independant contractors so hat they dont have to offer them the benefits of healthcare & pensions etc. In my opinion its more of a public relations initiative that WWE has only JUST RECENTLY started to offer former talent health. I will praise WWE for cleaning up their company but they are from perfect. I renmeber when they fired Test while he recovered from neck surgery.
nWoWolfpacTV 1 year ago
@nWoWolfpacTV So what's the problem with being an independant contractor? Since when was it frowed upon to be self made? Because that's what the hardest workers are, self made men who battled their way to the top. You're always going to have your occassional dud, ala Shaemus, Swagger, etc. winning the gold when not deserved, but even then, the whole point is to build your own brand, expose that brand, and ultimately make a name for yourself through TV, house shows, merchandising, and apperances.
krazygreen 1 year ago
@krazygreen Seriously? SERIOUSLY? Now im going to be honest & say due to the verbiage you use & the knowledge you posess you perhaps the most intelligent wrestling fan i have conversed with on YT so its quite boggling that you dont know why a WWE wrestler being labeled an independant contractor is a problem for many within the industry & also people not in the industry. Are you not subscibed to PW Torch/Wrestling Observer where this topic has been covered many times & will continue to do so?
nWoWolfpacTV 1 year ago
@nWoWolfpacTV I get your point, they don't get benefits, they don't receive retirement pensions, there are no IRA's or company stock shares or liability if something goes wrong, but, from a company standpoint, you have to understand that the WWE almost always bears responsibility in the eyes of public perception when a wrestler dies due to drug abuse or steroid allegation. However being an independent contractor also means you can create your own revenue w/o being constrained to stready salary.
krazygreen 1 year ago
@krazygreen Another problem about being labled an independant contractor in WWE is that talent can not go out & do other ventures likes movies, music etc without permission & they also cannt work for other wrestling organisations. You must be familiar with Jesse Ventura & even he says its wrong. TNA label its talent independant contractors aswell but they alow talent to work for ROH, PWG & other indies as long as it isnt televised & they allows talent to do any new ventures they choose.
nWoWolfpacTV 1 year ago
@nWoWolfpacTV Yes I'm aware, but the WWE is a public company, there are viable shareholders who invest into the company with hopes of a return. They can't have their top performers, or any for that matter, going out and venturing into businesses that aren't going to somehow someway benefit the WWE. It's just the way it is with any public entity or corporation. Eventually, some of them will venture into Hollywood, some will stay loyal to their original ticket to fame, it depends on the person.
krazygreen 1 year ago

I'm a big fan, and I can definitely see that you are as well.
krazygreen 1 year ago
@krazygreen I forgot to add to my comment about lower to midcaard level guys who are probably on downside guarantees of 75k - 150k that alot of what they earn goes on hotel accommodation, rental cars & food on the road. The point being like ive already said when you dont have another job to go to, you have a family to support etc its not just as easy as walking away when you have a drug problem like so many guys have had.
nWoWolfpacTV 1 year ago
