My friends mom was at this show, and the one later that night. Said it was INSANE and that she literally could not hear for days. I always like the immigrant song from HTWWW and BBC, but this one is far superior.....if only they had written Kashmir and Over the Hills by then!?
I am a note-watcher trying to find the range of Robert Plant, so can you guys please link me (By putting time stamps like 0:00 ) For Robert's highest screams in this performance?
@TheRockLover1000 He hits a few high Es on Immigrant song, "western shore..." And bounces up between C and E in Heartbreaker "life go by, etc." Plant didn't (intentionally) go past a high G in concerts, but clearly he was on tonight!!! Bruce Dickinson and Axl can eat their hearts out!!!
I cracked up uncontrollably when Plant worked into the opening Dazed and Confused lyrics a plea for the audience in front to sit down so concert goers in the back could have a good time, too. This band had a sense of humor, too.
It's hard to believe this gem was just recently uncovered. For more than three decades even fans were unaware of the fact that LZ played a second concert that day. And although the afternoon gig is great in its own right this stellar performance surpasses the earlier set in every aspect. Beyond a doubt the high point of their fantastic 6th U.S. tour and probably the whole year which after all provided us with quite a number of brilliant concerts such as RAH, Blueberry Hill and Bath among others!

This show is one of the finest moments in rock history, and that's a fact. We can only dream of that a SB tape will be discovered...

At least of those I've heard, this is their best performance of "Heartbreaker."

Great recording of a great concert. Many thanks! I couldn't help chuckling at all the cries for "MORE". We baby boomers were selfish SOBs.

@bonn777 Why is this a great recording? It's an audience tape. It's OK but not great.
