Hi, I have the PC-Version, and my PRL can only kill one enemy per shot, whereas yours can kill ALL enemies present in a room (or at least all in a certain reach) AT ONCE. How's that? A Wii-Only feature???

@DeadByDawn74 yeah they upgraded the prl just for the wii. It's understandable since a a weapon rewarded for beating PRO mode, should be able to atleast destroy objects aswell. And how can you make an instant kill laser more overpowered? Make it fire in more directions. I love this weapon on the Wii. It's the "most graphix of them all" because of the laser effect.

Yeah, the Wii version includes everything the other versions had to offer.

The remote controls drastically increase your accuracy, as you are free to aim (so, the better you are, the easier it is). They are the most comfortable controls out of all versions.

I don't know, but it could be possible to speedrun the game in 1 hour with Ditman glitch and the PRL on the Wii version. Since people speedran this with all other infinite weapons in the GC version on something like 1:30, it's pretty much possible.

Third, you can change costumes whenever you start a new round. You are asked each time which costume you want to use.

The only possible answer would be that you have neither beaten the main game once nor Separate Ways.

You have to beat the main game once to unlock the first Special costume.

After you have solved Separate Ways, you will have the Special 2 costume unlocked. Only then can you choose these when starting a new round.

Be absolutely sure that you have unlocked both costumes and that you load a cleared savefile. Even when you start a new game, you will be asked which costume to use, in all versions.

If you have a NGC controller plugged into your Wii, start RE4. On the main screen, plugg off the nunchuk and voilá, you can use your standard controller.

I have both Wii And Ps2 version, so i did a test. I sat on a ledge and killed all villagers execpt one axeman. Out of 25 throws (wii) 21 hit me. On PS2 19 of 25 axes hit me. Either wii axes are deadlier than PS2, I cant officially prove Wii is harder, but These results surprised me.

They are not deadlier than on other platforms, but it seems that enemies profit from the new remote controls aswell. What I mean is that archers, along with axe ganados, must have an accuracy improvement, as the user gets one due to the remote controls aswell.

That's why I hate archers the most, especially on Wii: They fucking hit 80% of the time.

That's a tough question I can't answer clearly. If I had to decide for a group of weapons, I would definitely choose the handguns (except the Matilda....). Some more powerful than others, but all fast firing and good in all kinds of situations: Kicks to move on, headshots to handle the bigger fish, and damage output against bosses.

Basically, I really like the Grenade Launcher, it's only drawback is its lack of ammo. It's so damn rare! :S

Second: The PRL got horribly nerfed in the Wii version - faster charging, multiple, auto-aiming lasers and its rays can now destroy objects.

It is probably the best speedrunning weapon now.

Unlocked bonuses are saved in the RE4-system-file, not in a specific gamesave. So whenever you start a second round (in any mode), you can buy and use your achieved weapons and costumes.

Let me tell you, it's not THAT great to have the special PRL, it really takes NO SKILL at ALL to get through now. The PS2 PRL poses much more of a challenge to use with special conditions. But the Wii PRL is a really good tool for speedrunners.

Only the Wii version of the game features this. The PRL has a lower charging time (it charges up faster, that is), now destroys objects AND shoots many lasers at once that aim automatically. Again, Wii only.

First: Magnum ammo is rare, so you don't want to waste any.

Second: There would be not much of a difference between a Handcannon and a BBFly run.

Third: It's just not THAT funny to do an ONLY run with overpowered weapons. That's why I picked the handguns, their power is acceptable, not too strong and not too weak.

Well, a PS2 PRL only run takes WAY more skill to do (and an additional standard handgun, as the laser doesn't hit objects). The PRL on the Wii is perfect for speedrunning and letting out your anger after some "uncool" parts ;-)

I have no doubt about that. I was trying speedrun on mine (as you guessed, its Ps2) and was hit about 6 times throughout the whole game but never had to use any herbs; I was happy :D

The PS2 version of the PRL is somewhat more fun, as it is still a limitless powerful weapon, though only through a single laser beam. It's flash is really helpful, as its radiant, so it does not only hit enemies in front of you. You never ever have to handle with Flash Grenades again xD

I use a Dazzle DVD Recorder DVC 100. Since this is an NTSC game, it will record this one in Black/White, though this can be tricked out as you can see. It is a quite cheap way of recording and enables playing on TV AND recording simultaniously.
