Ohhh I cried through this whole thing...Diesel you are a stunning loving boy.And God bless these people who saved you. What a wonderful, kind hearted group of people.
Wow what a difference after he is rescued! A happy clean Newfie!:D What a great story! Also so sad an "owner" would do that. People who do that shouldn't even be allowed to own an animal.
Chained dogs are also totally vulnerable to other animals and cruel people, and many chained dogs have been stolen, set on fire, shot, stabbed, tortured, or poisoned by cruel passersby or neighbors who were annoyed by their barking.
We just rescued a dog we named Hope. Her owner left her outside all the time and finally I think Hope had enough and ran away. Somehow she found us a few blocks away. We found out who owned her though her microchip and neighbors...the sad pitiful excuse for an owner said she didn't own a dog. We adopted her from the shelter that same day she denied her. She is such a great dog and a blessing to our family. I made a video and added it here of her if you'd like to see our little bit of HOPE!
You know if you get tired of a dog, what do you do? duh find them a better home. You don't chain them out to die, maybe the same should have been done to his owner who is sub human and ignorant.Thank you Angels who helped put him in a better situation and loving him,he deserves love and respect.
I hope the idiot who owned him..got dealt with. They are like children. I just don't get monstes and why the want animals if they don't want them. Just not educated. Grew up dumb. So glad he is ok now.
Why do you have to wait for the owner to give them up or buy them? Just curious. If they are being abused, can't the authorities or rescue agencies go in and take the animal?
@jd1424 You'd be surprised at how low the animal-care standards are in some jurisdictions. Also, animal neglect/abuse is a low priority in many places. A friend of mine legally retrieved a former foster of mine a few years ago. There was another animal in the same house receiving improper care. We tried, but that animal was adopted from a different organization, and the owner refused to surrender. The other place wouldn't retrieve her either. (cont'd.)
@Mominator Part 2: The other animal was dumped at the other organizations facility, in the middle of the night, barely alive. Our rescue took her in, and nursed her back to health. Please spay/neuter your pets, adopt from shelters/rescues and support your local rescues.
I live up in the North(BC/Yukon border and unfortunately many ppl up here do not treat Dogs very nice. It's not because the're evil ppl but because that's the way they were brought up.Dogs in the North are"tools"for protection, work and still for some Transportation.I say about 70% of the Large Dogs never even allowed to go inside ppl's houses because they would Die outside in Winter. It's unfortunate but things are slowly changing
I wish I could help all these great organizations whom help animals but i'm only eighteen and can hardly pay for my own expenses. I hope one day to win the lottery so that I can volunteer my time to help innocent animals.
When I am financially able I will be sending you funds for your love of these animals who are so in need!! Thank you so much for all you do for these wonderful dogs! Bless you Bless you!!
A yr later got a desert Afghan. What a trip. One panted All yr, and drank constantly, (waking me at 3 AM to go out, and his nose touching mine and barking to wake me, often leaking going out the door, with me Cursing as I Praised him)) and one who Rarely panted. Maybe 1-2 days a yr.
I was told Java was wild. Not at first, because he was so weak, but I found out why he got into trouble. He was a maniac, a Super lovable one. If you made eye contact you Had to pet him, or he went Ballistic, scaring people to ask to, till I convinced them he Wasn't going to eat them.)) What a creature.. crazy as hell, but Oh So Lovable. he didn't mind the cold and Loved it, being a mountain Afghan, who came from the Himalayas. Prefered being outside on the Coldest days, and panted All year
Love happy endings.)) Reminds me of my boy Java. Tied to a tree for a year, and malnourshed till He couldn't stand. When his breeder who became a great friend, found out and kidnapped him. I ran into him, and to prevent him from being put down, took him, when my animal loving junk yard friend begged off, because he had 6 at the yard, 6 at home, and 5 kinds, but told me Not to let him be put down.
"When you save a life you save a world." I have a GSD that was badly treated by her first owner who was not familiar with that breed's needs. Her scars are long gone and she is a great dog. Thanks for what you do!
You have the equivalent love a dog has. It is forces like you....that allow me to see the beauty of love. You have helped me greatly....Much Love and Gratitude-Thank-you!!!
oh what .i wouldnt give to have such a beautiful boy. ive always loved the bigger breed of dogs. i have two beautiful pitbulls and they are so sweet and loveable. how ppl can treat animals like that is beyond me.
These people shouldn't have dogs and it should be against the law to keep dogs chained up especially in such cold weather, it's a wonder the dogs don't get frost bite in there paws. Keep up the good work.
UI guys / gals are awesome . after seeing so many horrible outcomes' this is a God send. May I ask" How did he get the name Diesel? Way to go!!! Love it!!
That's one big mf'n dog! If I had the space I would rescue a big guy like this :-) Me and my bud, Butters, are doing just fine in our single bedroom apartment. 15lb Jack mix rescued from long beach SPCA in CA
