  • Nicely done.

  • epic video!

  • Have you used the free move setting in voodoo? I used it on a turning a animated head ( made in blender) and it worked fine. I used it on a video of my head turning and and it did not work so well. I was working on a Stargate movie helmet . Where the helmet grows over the head as the head turns.

  • where or how did u make the alien

  • well thats gotta be real! (He was lying about it being a animation.)

  • hahaha soo funny :D How the green thing is talking... blablabla bla. :D

Nice tracking, although the lighting could´ve been a little bit more detailed!

    Very nice! I like! Sexytime!

  • come on, guys, can't you tell? its obviously a real alien, otherwise it wouldn't look so fake. its just like jack sparrow's reasoning when he tells the two guards his entire plan to steal the ship so they don't think he's actually going to do it. its playing with your head, don't fall victim to the aliens liez!!11!

  • wowz like this lookz so faakkee!!!! JK Great job!

  • tht is sooooo coumputer animated........

  • @shortieboy12334: That's probably because "This is a match moving TEST done in Blender and Voodoo..." - as it says in the description

  • @allanliddle I think he was kidding

  • @shortieboy12334 Computer animated? Try 3d. Compuuuuteerrrr technoooology

  • @shortieboy12334

    thanks cap!

  • @shortieboy12334 if you honestly think that aliens are real then you are a fucking nut job.

  • @shortieboy12334 thats the point.....its a test..........just look at the title

  • nice work how do you get that background

  • @Antwonx161: The background is film footage that a friend of mine shot with a decent camera. I animated and composited the "alien" on top of the footage - using Voodoo.

  • Wow, nice!

  • lmao awsome

  • круто видео монтаж

  • wow good video

    its blender wrhite???

  • No, it's not cheaper that Cinema 4D - it's Open Source - therefore it is legally FREE!

Just don't make the mistake of thinking it's "gimmicky"! Blender is a SERIOUS end-to-end animation environment. I.e. it includes post pro - built in.

  • this was fuken funny, is Blender cheaperr then Cinema 4D, i wanna get into 3D animation but FUCK its expensive

  • @LooneyM3 use BIT TORRENT to find your way.

don't hate me because I can't afford to pay.

  • @brucebu not hatin on you, i use Torrents all the time

  • Nice Job!

  • COOOL XD

  • super!

    5*! (x100) :)

  • Nice! tracking looks like it's sat in the scene well, also the lighting is very good . A few points:

    1. Shadow at the start sits over the bush maybe build a little Matte object to mask it out as it passes.

    2. Shadow and smoke look too solid, if you use raytracing this will help with this.

What's Voodoo like by the way? easy to work with?

  • voodo is a camera tracking software

  • looks real!

  • you used greenscreen to put CG of house behind the saucer?

  • Holey crap, why isnt this all over the news, Thats isnane, who is this guy, Why havnt i heard of this?!!?!??!?!

  • the shadow of the misarable smoke is missing..

the rest is ok, but there are still some other little mistakes..

  • Of course is fake people when did any1 saw a space ship park on a garage... they are most likely to b found on area 51 or the white house 0_0... shhhh don't tell anybody i said this

  • shadow ???????????????????

  • Hi jordanjsn... you seem impatient, hey? I am probably in another time zone than you, and I just got from work - no Youtube access there.

Anyway, I cast the shadow on a transparent plane that shows "shadow only". The plan was on the video's ground plane. You may have to play around with some other parameters but that's the principle.

  • look in to my clips because i made some printscreen

  • And don't make the same newbie mistake I was having by having my opacity on my transparent object down to 0 :)

  • @jordanjsn very simple what i think is that they made structures of their ground and their house to emit a shadow on them

  • how did u make the shadow ???

  • i love it man, really cool!... and the same goes for ya other work too, like the shark.

well done mate, lots'a time there, it's really inspiring to see what can be done. everyone i have played this to loves it and is blown away by your work. cant wait for the next one.

  • Cool! lol

  • ffffffaaaaaaaaaaaaaakkkkkkkkkeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You may have your opinion. This was my fist ever attempt. Where is your first attempt?

  • @TheGuyOnDownStreet of course if is fake dummy its ment to be fake

  • no shit its fake. fucking dummy that not the point of the video

  • ddddddddddddddduuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    dumb ass

  • @TheGuyOnDownStreet OMG! Fake?!?! are you sure? I thought it was a real life alien!!!.....Jackass

  • @TheGuyOnDownStreet sure? it looks like the alien is real LOL

  • wow good job but the smoke looks very fake :)

  • How you added animation to normal movie?

  • ummmmm that was....AWESOME!!! did u like give him directions? lol haha

  • How do you get the shadow on the ground?

  • I created a transparent plane that only shows up shadows.

  • sweet, thanks alot. will the transparent plane also reflect lights. Like if i have fire, can i put a transparent plane under it to make it look like the fire's light is shining on the table?

  • Good work! The shadow is maybe little too dark.

  • The problem is that - if I made it much lighter, the shadows that the plants were casting would show up too well, thereby "giving away" that this was done with match moving...

  • great job!!!!

  • But i dont know how to use that...

  • success

  • How did you synchronize the motion of the ufo with the panning of the camera?

  • Voodoo camera tracker (freeware).

  • nice effects and ufo

  • yeah but how is a real video mixed with blender like that

  • how do you mix blender with a video?

  • Blender is a computer animation program

  • cool! how do you make it so that it looks like the ufo is in really in the street?

  • really well done

  • great job

  • how do you make the mesh appear in the render? i am trying to make a somewhat similar creation, but when i render, it only shows what i filmed

  • ahahah great compositing

  • Bloody, you didn't even use green screen... *jealous face here*

  • haaaa

  • the only thing that is bad y that the smoke have no shadow

  • lol

  • The rendering was relatively quick, as it is only the "flying saucer" with an alpha background. Setting up the match moving (synchronising with the background) took a lot longer.

  • how many hour u need to render this..?

  • What's a match moving test?????

  • Match moving is when you digitally track the motion of objects in a video. It can be used to track the camera movement and put digital elements into the video that move along with the rest of the image, when the camera moves. In more difficult permutations, you might use it to track a moving object WITHIN the video and add a digital object to it (i.e. have something stuck to someone's face).

    Hope that helps.

  • So first what you would have to do, to put an animation in the real world... Is to, first composite, then you'll have to match move it????

  • No. Match moving is a process which interprets information in a video to derive the 3d movement of the camera and/or an object within the shot. Then the 3d camera in the animation program is given the same motion as the real camera had, so any animation you composite into the video will stay in place in the 3d world of the original video, even as the original video's camera moves. I hope that helps.

  • Actually, if you want a more in-depth walk-through, I'd recommend you search the main site for the program "voodoo camera tracker." They've got a good explanation there.

  • Other way around. First matchmove, then animate/render, then composite.

  • to answer your question about the shadow, first you put a plain in the aproximate position of the ground, then in the shading window (the place where you pick the colour of the object) click the Env button. It will still render shadows, but will be totally seethrough.

  • lol... cute

  • lol, nice job, but your buddy needs to fix his transmission maybe? :-p

  • That is freakin awesome.

  • Truly amazing!

  • Big Question!!! How do you get the shadow??? I assume that using a blue platform in blender will create a blue shadow when i bluescreen. I noticed the transparency of the shadow - is there a way to produce just the shadow without rendering the actual object?

  • well done)))5 stars

  • Very cool.

  • cool!!!!

  • ublabulabacogadoda

  • nice work

  • Lol! Awesome! The only Problem I have with camera tracker, is how it won't accept a single video sequence :(

  • awesom! really liked it! 5*

  • lol

  • Great job! The motion match worked especially well.
