I love the scene in season 3 where it shows the flashback to Ben walking back to the Dharma camp wearing a gas mask, all the dharma people lying there dead, and the natives cautiously creeping in with gas masks and guns. The music in that scene is especially moving.

Scene 3 is the greatest scene in the entire show. Perhaps second only to the ending scene in season one's "Walkabout" episodes where we see that Locke was in a wheelchair. Those two scenes are perfectly crafted, and incredibly moving.

Great choices. I'm not sure of #5, but that's your opinion. I definitely agree with 4, 3, and 1. 2 is cool, I'm just not convinced it's the 2nd best scene in the show.

I think 1 is pretty un-debatable. For anyone who watched the show as it aired, that was like the biggest, best shock, cliff-hanger ending in t.v. history. So brilliantly done.

#3 is the only one that can compete with #1 and that's just because I feel like that scene is the moment when we all realized "This show is special."

Charlies death, that was a major moment!! Desmond calling Penny another big moment due to the fact that first it's stinking beautiful second no one had made contact with home yet..I think so many of the last episodes moments are epic like when each character touched the one they loved and remembered those all were epic! #5: I'd extend it to include the conversation between Jacob and the MIB. When we as the audience came to realise Locke was the MIB we'd seen at the start of the episode, this instilled a sense of mind f*ck in us and in my opinion is more epic than Ben killing Jacob.

#4: This was epic from what we'd seen thus far, but in the context of the series, is not that epic. Maybe Desmond calling Penny?
