  • i remember this now and today is the 2/12/2010

  • You lesbians are so queer & funny

  • Silence can speak volumes. At times, it speaks intense love, as the silence is accompanied by tears of love or smiles. In this case, it is silence to end oppression.

  • Please...there is no oppression. Gays have above average incomes, jobs, and housing in the US. They aren't made fun of any more than fat people, people with disabiltiies, some religious people, etc..

  • Gay people earn less than average incomes. The myth that gays are rich fat cats is perpetuated by straight people who do not want gays to get any protection in the form of human rights, and by gay people who mistakenly think that if all gay people look like they are upper middle class people who all drive BMWs gays will be accepted. Many teenage street kids are gay. They are thrown out of home and have no way to earn a living than to turn to prostitution.

  • You are wrong. Just go into google and type in gays, above average incomes, and you will see that it is the truth, and this is not coming from right wing sources. Many people who turn religions or become religious could be thrown out of their homes as well. Gays earn double incomes with no kids in many cases...

  • A few facts you need to understand. First, we cannot easily get accurate stats on gay people. Most gay people are not open. They do not say they are gay on surveys. Homeless people are hard to survey, and there are a chunk of homeless gays. Many gay people are married. A lot of gay people are single. When people are kicked out of their homes for religious beliefs, that is oppression too. When I see people in the gay community, their dress, homes, and cars do not show they are rich.

  • People are kicked out of their homes for being religious after being an atheist or for switching religions. There are plenty of stats on gay people and STD's...look no further than CDC website. In Western cultures, by far men who have sex with men have much, much higher STD rates...in the US, it is 25 times that of heterosexuals.

  • That has zero to do with gay people being oppressed. Using rates of sexually transmitted diseases as a way to excuse those who discriminate, hate, and gay bash is not really appropriate.

  • Traditional marriage was pushed by the governnment because married couples live longer, and kids do better with a mother and a father. This saves the government a ton of money. For every single child home...and we have more kids out of wedlock now than ever, it costs the government a fortune. Endorsing a gay lifestyle which leads to a whole host of problems is not economically wise for the government to do...especially since gays die earlier deaths - more medical costs.

  • There are weaknesses in the point you are making. Same-sex marriages save governments money. Health care costs are lower when there is another adult in the home to help with care-giving. There are reduced numbers of sexual partners and reduced chances of contracting SDIs when people are married. The number of times people have sex drops after marriage. If you don't want gay sex, because you feel it is a health risk, you need to allow gay marriages.

  • Nonsense. Do you want the links...there are many gay sites that actually say gays make above average incomes in trying to boost themselves up. It's not all coming from right wing sources.

  • I am aware sites claim gays have above average income. That is not the reality, because it does not include many impoverished gay people. You've looked at a lot of stereotypes. Think of stereotype gay occupations. Pink triangle ghettos include service jobs (waiters, hairdressers) and retail sales. You do not get rich in those jobs. If most gays earned high incomes, it would be because their parents were all affluent and could sent them to college. That makes no sense.

  • A couple of points. There are many forms of oppression. Being thrown out of jobs, kicked out of rental property, beaten up, and murdered for who you are is oppression. And oppression is a very gentle word for what that is.

  • Good Job wayom I love it are you gonna be doing this as well I know I am not missing out on this for nothing:)
