  • that fish was the food for my dinner :O

and also that fish with colourful light was our decoration last Christmastime :O

  • how is the jeelyfish making electrical sounds

  • 2:00

WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUCK is that? :O Omg. At first, I thought it was a diving robot, then I was incredibly stunned by it. Heck, that isn't even the word, must be a new word like seeing-a-christmaslight-jelly-amazed! :O

I seriously am extremely intensely interested and shocked at the extreme levels of differences nature can produce, levels I never imagined possible.

  • NATURE CREATE THE MOST SCARY THING

    HUMANS

  • omg a metroid btw does it really make that kind of sound? :P

  • yo....the deep sea amazes the crap outta me, and the last hing they show RAVE!!!! lol but wow i cant evn tell where he head iz, and i would hate 2 meet tht fang tooth face 2 face O_o

  • DAMN nature, u Scary

  • @IEatPoopOnWednesdays the Marianas trench (i think you spell it like that) is the deepest point in the ocean proof from sonar, forgot how deep it is but we've only been down there once and it was so deep and pitch black that they assumed nothing was down there but I'm sure tons of things were down there that they couldn't see which is kinda creepy lol.

  • i wonder what's down that huge crack?

  • Raver Jellyfish :D

  • Skip to 0:47 to shit your pants.

  • wtf he's biting himself

  • wow amazing!!!!

  • When I was younger I was terrified of this fish but now that I'm older and a little more brazen, I'd say come get some. I would just snap his fangs off and ridicule it for not being able to eat me... hahahha *Gulp* swallowed.....

  • We could get used to the idea of this, but not aliens?

    Lol

  • I can't believe that last thing is real

  • where can i find the whole documentation of this??

  • @GRINDHASSUS I think it was a part of "the blue planet" amazing documentrys

  • we're looking for aliens in space when we already got aliens living in the ocean

  • That deep sea jelly would make a nice decoration for a club.

  • lmao! the sound effects for the bitting :D

  • The Abyss is so cool and so mysterious! I want to knowevery information about the abyss!

  • the imax documentaries have better footage from space for views of the earth. does the bbc documentaries have any footage of space. I have found the imax documentaries seem to have the best picture quality

  • jelly raver

  • Jelly fish? HELL NO!

    Alien fish!

  • It amazes me how life thrives even at the very deepest fringes of the earth. It's sobering to consider that this beauty and complexity has existed outside the realm of human consciousness for God knows how long. Funny how we're setting our sights on space when we've only just scratched the surface of how deep and vast earth is!

  • Jelly from the future!!

  • Comb Jellies! Beautiful!

  • dude i would love to have that deep sea jelly fish man their trippy has hell!! =][=

  • Looks like my mum

  • 1:43...star wars machines...

  • 1:21 That is the scariest OM NOM NOM in nature.

  • i feel bad for that shrimp that are some big damn teeth

  • hmm i heard they found some teeth an they estimated that what ever creature that was could have make snacks out of blue whales am so eager to see what else they find!! heck i will do it myself i f i get the chance!......who knows maybe that giant octopus from deep rising may be real now that would be scary!

  • Nature scares the grammar out of me.

  • loved it when they added the computer sounds to that jellyfish, as if to compare it to a spaceship

  • @schneiderdt LOL!

  • Would love to have that deep sea jelly in a fish tank

  • The effect you are witnessing with this deep sea jelly fish is called iridescence from its moving cilia. (Look it up, for I will not promulgate ignorance).

The reason YOU SEE the effect, is because the submersible is shining lights on the specimen.

  • ooohw yes !!

They would be awesome in a big fish tank in a Discotheque !

Party all the way to the Jelly's light show !! =D

  • No fucking way that thing lights up like that.

  • 1:40, that light can't be coming out naturally O_O

  • It is, the flares produce temperature bursts and the direction and speed determine what colors they turn, relative to the ones around it. (The flagella/ small legs) So if you pay attention some change colors slower than others, the red cannot be seen by about 90% of the deep sea, therefore this jelly, is practically invisible.

  • Yeah what's the name of the jellyfishy at 1:40 ?

  • Comb Jelly fish

  • Though part of the phylum Ctenophora family not completely jelly fish

  • what's that at 1:40?

  • It's so morbidly beautiful

  • DAMN NATURE, YOU SCARY!

  • @delpuerco, uh, no, it's this: Damn nature, you amazingly beautiful! That jellyfish was spectacular

  • By far the scariest....

  • Can I buy this on Blu-Ray somewhere?

  • whats the one at 10 seconds

  • Or (the state of a disbeliever) is like the darkness in a vast deep sea, overwhelmed with waves topped by waves, topped by dark clouds, (layers of) darkness upon darkness: if a man stretches out his hand, he can hardly see it! And he for whom Allah has not appointed light, for him there is no light(The Quran, 24:40 interpretation of the meaning)

  • there is a species of squid like dat

  • that last one is a true work of God

  • They are all work of God

You ask scientists to create a fly...cnt they?

  • no, satan created it himself

  • these fishees are trippy ;D

  • wooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • whats the one with teh light on its head

  • It's amazing ow the Jellyfish evolved to know how to attract fishes... Evolution is soooooooooooooo Complex...

  • Lo the pressure would crush you like a togurt ran over by a Lorry :P

They either have Submarines or Very High-Tech pressurised Suits (WHich I doubt they are using for filming)

  • Lovin' that disco jelly!

  • 0:47 scared my a little

  • these google ads that pop up every now and again are really starting to annoy me -.-

  • when you think about unspeakable outher space and as hell deep oceans life with their own creatures you realize that people dont know nothing..

  • I love the fangtooth and the angler the most!

  • do they dive or are they in a submerine?

  • Under water that deep it isnt safe to go down in a submarine or in a suit

Because all the water pressure will kill you

  • i highly doubt that, more like the jellyfish evolved the ability to flash colours to attract food in the dark.

  • .....what?

  • omg in 2009 are still existing ppl like this man?

  • That jelly's got a good thing goin'. Flash a light, eat a fish. Kick back and chill.

  • So where can I find the rest of this episode?

  • Comment removed

  • Found it, it's a deep sea angler

  • lol...didnt see this :( oops

  • OMG, the fish at 0:19, it's just like the fish in Nemo when they go in the deep water to retrieve the mask. The one with the light bulb attached to it's head.

What kind of fish is that?
