My four year old nephew can play that bassline. It's simple as fuck and it's absolutely nothing special. It does not take much to impress you Spoon fans does it. This band really sucks. Boring. The musicians are not very inventive or even good at playing them. I can't see the acclaim for this band. The songs are so simple, repetitive and boring.
OMGosh.this is totally how i found Spoon this summer.ah-memories.i miss the summer.but anyways,i freakin' love Spoon.i wish they'd come to like Seattle or something.i live like an hour and a half away from there. :DD
No. Britt has been living in Portland, Oregon for several years, not Seattle. Jim Eno, the drummer, lives in Austin and has a studio there. Don't know about the other boys as they come and go.
I'm going to see Spoon this Saturday, can't wait... been awhile since any of my favorites have been to this part of the world. Great song, great album, great band and I just don't get why they don't sell millions of records.

... Comments stand, though. Each album is lyrically solid. S'okay if they borrow occassionally :-)

Britt Daniel as a lyricist is a finer poet than most published poets these days . . . oh, how I want him. This song NEVAH gets old.

Bassline is like hot sex for ur eardrums, but futhermore it's always the easy catchy tunes that make or break a band, (see beatles)

It's really quite easy to play, but sometimes that's simple grooves for you. They don't always have to do much to really add to the song.
